I hope viewership ratings for all these shitty fantasy shows plummet. Rings of Power, House of the Dragon, The Witcher, fuck all of them. They all need to die.
plus WOT (which died with Jordan in 2007, but the publisher and the 'estate' did/does/will do anything to besmirch him and his books)

All "modern adaptations" are doomed to collapse into obscurity and forgotten.
You either spend inordinate amounts of time and effort with an original author and give them full creative liberty, or a complete obsessive originalist fanboy of the original author to whom price is not an object. Otherwise, it fails.

What happened with the WOT adaptation, did they claim it as a success or not?
Pretty sure it's universally hated. Shadiversity on Youtube did an episode by episode break down on his second channel, Knights Watch. Shad read the books and loves them. He even ignored a lot of the warning signs in the first episode or two, but caught on to the butchery after that and tore it a new asshole. It was turned into generic (((Hollywood))) fantasy, with all of the modern woke tropes.
I refused to watch WOT and when I saw the summary of the episodes it was clear they had no interest in adapting the book. The showrunner pretty much said so.
