The trenches and the minefields made it while world of a difference from elsewhere where Ukraine didn't prepare because of the leadership's criminal pacifism. Especially in the absurdly narrow connection with Crimea that was manned by only border guards. They could've easily turned it into a modern Mannerheim Line.

They weren't useling artillery "to shell Donetsk" too. I've been observing this conflict, so please stop trying to gaslight me.
