Here's a ridiculous idea we can try if fascist demagogues ever take over the country: Ban media organizations. You still get your free speech - as an individual - but no more CNN, Fox News, New York Times, WSJ, Breitbart or Post Millennial. Everything must be owned by and attributed solely to a single human. Any time two or more journalists get together in a group, we raid their office and shut it down as a conspiracy to employ propaganda against the people. As a journalist you can hire your own editorial department if you must, but the final report comes from you. We must end The Fourth Estate once and for all.
It's a dumb thought that just came to me, but I wonder if that would destroy the implicit trust many people have in "the news" as an accurate information tool. Also responsibility for fake news would not be dispersed over a whole company over a long period of time. We'd know exactly who to shame or credit.

Excellent idea!
I might make exemptions for reporters who prove themselves to be ethical by allowing them to take on copy editors or photographers, but all work would still be attributable to the one reporter and any lies, deliberate or by omission/weasel words, would be proof of conspiracy to employ propaganda.
A) The Smith-Mundt modernization act made it completely legal to use propaganda against the American people.
Afaik, it made it legal for the state department to broadcast their "news" segments that were aimed at foreign audiences within US borders, but it had nothing to do with private media corporations.
I believe Biden is butthurt that people still don't think he was elected. He ran for president how many times? He's constantly playing second fiddle. And then, he finally gets installed and at least half the country doesn't believe he deserves it.
Old people kind of turn back into children. And I believe this is childishness on Biden's part. No one believes he's supporting the republic. He acts with divisiveness at every opportunity. He's always been a Party man.
You gotta use a media perspective. He's not a die-hard communist: he represented moneylenders. "Moderate" means the corporate wing of the Democrat party. And to be fair to them, he did up the partisanship as he ran for President. As a Senator, he was happy to play the back-scratching game with Republicans, which is what passes for moderate among those types of crooks. In order to be the de facto leader of the Democrat party, he had to toughen up on Republicans. It's a different job than Senator where your primary job is to bring home the bacon to your state (while enriching yourself of course).
He has always been one of those people who "worked with his colleagues across the aisle." All that proved to me was that they were all part of the same uniparty. Whenever the two parties come together and compromise on something, you know there's corruption going on behind closed doors.
We are going on two years of trump being out of office and they are obsessed with him. And then they are shocked that ppl don’t trust the media
A lot of people still do, unfortunately. That's why we're still fucked

B) Shutting down all corporate news outlets makes you an antisemite

Maybe I'm wrong?

Agreed. I remember how the media kept pushing that he was a moderate. I was like since when?

That’s a good way of putting it. I guess when I hear moderate I think of someone with a few right leaning views. But the definition has changed.

One party is retarded. One party is evil. Occasionally they get together to do something retardedly evil, and this is what we call bipartisanship.
Their obsession is born of fear. They're terrified of Trump, and they should be.
