Globohomo is the enemy china and russia are really fighting. The US regime is a big part of it that. Helping American dissidents, and providing resources for those dissidents to nip at the regime, is a relatively cheap way to force the focus more internally than externally.
IMO the US scored big points in by accepting Soviet refugees.
If Russia (or China) want to dunk on the US they should start accepting fathers who are caught up in this and their children as political refugees.
