Libtard liar. The libs used the same tactics against the Florida bill aimed at stopping them from talking about sex with kids, which they falsely called the "don't say gay" bill and made up all sorts of lies about what unreasonable restrictions it imposed on them.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee recently signed a law requiring school libraries to screen their materials for “age appropriateness,”

Okay so that is for school LIBRARIES, not individual teachers. Can the libtards cite any law at work here? no.

“If a teacher wants his or her students to read any of the books at school or in the teacher’s classroom, the teacher has to catalog every single book,” Sydney says in the TikTok, explaining the ramifications of the law. She explains that teachers have to catalog the title and author of every book in their classroom — even if they have hundreds of books. After a teacher catalogs their books, they must send the list to their school librarian, who has a list of “approved” books. Sydney says she doesn’t know what that list is based on.

So the law does not require any of that. If her school is doing that, and I refuse to believe it is based solely on "Sydney's" tiktok, then that is a voluntary policy not a legal requirement.

actual law summary below:

“Age-Appropriate Materials Act of 2022,”

https://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB2407

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the bill requires each school operated by an LEA and each public charter school to maintain a current list of the materials in the school's library collection and have the list posted on the school's website.

This bill requires each local board of education and public charter school governing body to adopt a policy for developing and reviewing school library collections by the 2022-2023 school year. The policy must include:

(1) A procedure for the development of a library collection at each school that is appropriate for the age and maturity levels of the students who may access the materials, and that is suitable for, and consistent with, the educational mission of the school;

(2) A procedure for the local board of education or public charter school governing body to receive and evaluate feedback from a student, a student’s parent or guardian, or a school employee regarding one or more of the materials in the library collection of the student's or employee's school; and

(3) A procedure to periodically review the library collection at each school to ensure that the school's library collection contains materials appropriate for the age and maturity levels of the students who may access the materials, and that is suitable for, and consistent with, the educational mission of the school.

This bill requires a local board of education or public charter school governing body to evaluate each material for which feedback is provided to determine whether the material is appropriate; if the material is not appropriate, then the school must remove the material from the library collection.

plus 99% of books will be approved with no issues, just no weird children's books about gay sex or being trans.

I've noticed a trend with people around my age in my personal life and online, they absolutely refuse to do things that are inconvenient or tedious until they are forced to. It's actually incredible to watch.

It doesn't matter what the law says. It only matters what sort of message, what sort of narrative, the left can set.

The left controls the media. The left controls the schools. The left controls the internet.

They decide what's a story, and how it's covered. They decide what your children hear in school, and how they are taught it. They decide what sorts of results you get when you search for stuff on the internet.

Again - what the law says, what reality is, doesn't fucking matter. What matters is how people are being indoctrinated.

Sydney explains that her school district has told her and other teachers that they are not required to catalog their books, especially on the weekends.

Shes just doing it because she chooses to do it.
