Wow the critics seem to hate it. I read one review for laughs and they said it panders to red state America. As opposed to pandering to blue haired Twitter weirdos

The funny part is that, at least from what I watched, it's not really pandering to anybody. It's just a fun, fairly well written military action-thriller.
Why not?
Gatekeep or be gatekept.
If you don't make your hobby into a right-wing echo chamber, then it will become a left-wing echo chamber because lefties scream louder.
They will drown out your voice.
Best to keep them out from the very beginning.
Well anything that isn’t some lecture on racism, sexism, how horrible the US is seems to get attacked viciously by critics
Plus it stars Chris Pratt, who really seems to get on their nerves.
Hot, wholesome, not full of himself. Not some weird demonic hollywood freak who kisses his young son dressed like Harley Quinn on the mouth like that jew whatever his name is.
They can't fucking handle ones like him and to a lesser extent, Henry Cavill. They seem normal, so they are evil
There’s like zero politics is what’s crazy about this take.
I think that to these blogger types SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS see the bad lady as like a Hillary Clinton surrogate maybe? Other than that like it’s literally just that meme where no matter what the casting decisions are racist.
Like the cast is hella diverse, the brown FBI dude and lady now that I think of it are both super competent, a rich white dude is emasculated, the Asian journalist lady is super competent. What else could it be!?!?
To be fair the twist in the last episode was a bit predictable. Still good, though.
This and things like Reacher leads me to the conclusion Amazon is weird. On the one hand they do show like this which is great but then they are doing rings of power.
It's like some of them are woke but the bosses come in once in a while saying "where's my money" that they have to make good stuff too.
Absolutely bait and switch. I only watched season 1 of Jack Ryan and while it did some stupid race swaps etc. I don't remember it being that bad. Second season torpedoed that. It's the netflix and Amazon way.
You can read the Jack Carr books its based on though. This is the sequel book :

I was wondering about that too. The just released a movie where a “trans woman” and a guy fall in love. So a dude and a dude who thinks he is a movie. A real moneymaker I’m sure
Critic Score: 40, User Score: 8.8
literally all you need to know.
It's a military action show based on a book from Jack Carr, starring Chris Pratt. So of course all the libtard reviews are going to hate it. Chris Pratt is a known and exposed kirishitan and any media that actually makes the US military look cool in any way is automatically hated. The only military films the libtards love are the ones that cry about PTSD, burn pits, and portray war as a nightmare hellscape.
And they despise Christians expect for those who conveniently align with every left wing talking point. Now I want to read the books after watching
"Christianity is a tool of the patriarchy and promotes white supremacy but also Jesus was a communist."
I know but you have these woke churches spreading like wildfire which is sad
Most of the woke churches appear to be mainline denominations. The good news is that they are dying and losing members rapidly. Hopefully those people are finding good churches.
I go to a Lutheran church but it’s more conservative. When I got there I checked where the church stood on certain things and I was relieved but yes mainline are really being infested
It's pretty good. There's some eye rolling moments with the logic of the story but overall it was worth my time.
It's pretty good. Binged it in a single day.
