What is your personal theory about Jan 6. I am curious no matter how wild it may sound. I remember when it happened I figured some over zealous Trump supporters got out of hand. I never dreamed there would be this insane level of hysteria over it. I was initially shocked about the hand wringing over this after seeing the destruction of the summer of love as well as seeing other groups protesting at or in the capital. It is hard for me to take seriously the idea that it was an insurrection because if their goal was to take over the government that was a pretty lousy effort and same goes for Trump. Plus you got people still in jail over this.
What do y'all think is behind all this? I also find it odd how there is no curiosity about Ray Epps.
Not much of a theory, just the obvious: a protest that the feds tried (and succeeded in) entrapping people.
Probably the "wild" part is that Trump doesn't care for the victims.
And people should've known better.
Think about it: how many people got assaulted and had their property vandalized for simply wearing a hat, posting a sign, or putting a sticker on their car that showed support for Trump? I'm not even mentioning stuff that's out of Trump's control, like people losing their jobs/friends/family for supporting him.
On the flip side, look at how much Trump did for certain ethnic groups, from programs to pardons. Mind you, these ethnic groups would never vote for him and hated everything his platform was about.
A part of me wants to feel sorry for the J6 prisoners, but they really should've known better. Some people only learn the hard way - and some of them haven't even learned.
The icing on the cake might be that Trump wanted to send 20k troops to fend off his supporters on J6. How about sending 20k troops to where Antifa is protesting or, better yet, crack down on Antifa like this government did to the KKK.
Anyway, I digress. This whole thing was, and is, a kabuki theater.
Yea my “spider sense” was tingling when I first heard about the rally. People should’ve known how it would play out.
The people most likely to attend were already deep in the Q rabbit hole-- they WW1GWAG'd right into a trap and were made political prisoners and examples of right at the center of the propaganda piece the incident became.
They thought they were 'the storm,' that Trump would back them, and they got blown out instead. Betrayed and abused by the system.
Makes me agree with Kennedy: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
The Uniparty and the 'fortification' of elections won on Jan 6th, while Trump proved (between this and operation warp speed) that he won't be saving us when push comes to shove.
It was a day for black pills.
I'll be the 1st to admit that I fully expected antifa resistance instead of "assistance". Ironically, it was almost as peaceful as I thought it would be without antifa, but the feds didn't expect it that way and their plan for incitement kinda went pear-shaped as a result.
That tends to me my view as well. I lean a step further and think it was a bit of a parting gift from the Trump admin to the intelligence agencies. They immediately used the incident to justify expanding their power, particularly that of the Capitol Police.
Idc for the victims either. It was stupid as fuck to do. It was a damned temper tantrum and accomplished nothing
