He's battles have been particularly brutal, so maybe he will have to live with scars(seen and unseen) - but he will live, and live with the glorious understanding that whatever issues he has coming ahead none will be as tough as the one he just survived.

I'd say it's a huge fucking accomplishment. Especially considering this is a cult whose "rites" include irreversibly mutilating your body and pumping it full of God-knows-what chemicals to deform it. Add in the lovebombing, encouragement to cut ties with close family and friends from when people knew you by your "deadname" and severing yourself from its clutches seems nigh improbable since by the time you're so far in you've gone too far to just back out.

Yep. I fucking hate the shitty culture of reddit where everyone posts shit hoping for a million comments patting them on the back and telling them how great they are. But I've half a mind to take my account over to that sub and post reassuring comments in every post because honestly they all need and deserve it. Shit is literally a cult.
