South Park's Mr/Mrs Garrison was about 15 years ahead of current year
The most recent season had an episode where Garrison was talking about his sex life and the kids complained. PC Principal gets super offended that the kids are so homophobic.
Funny episode at the time, now it’s just sad because reality keeps getting weird.
Holy shit you're right. Nobody saw that as even remotely possible as a real thing when it aired 20 years ago, but not only is it happening it's even worse than they were portraying as "satire" then. We are so fucked.
There's also a song from Season 3 Episode 1 Rainforest Shmainforest that goes "Getting gay with kids is here..." that in retrospect seems a bit too much on the nose.
South Park is just depressing nowadays, how can you satirize when IRL is worse than anything you could ever conceive as a satirical joke??

The whole "I'm just answering questions from students" argument wouldn't fall as flat if the kids were actually able to do math and read and write.
Gives a bit of context as to why these academic subjects are falling behind...
Even if we assume the students really did ask all these questions, the teacher has a responsibility to keep the class on track. We wouldn't accept math class being used to discuss Roblox because students kept asking questions about it.
Funnily enough that's something I am not sure about the current crop.
It's so hard for me to upvote these types of memes. I find them hilarious, yet sadly true. But almost feel like an upvote can be viewed as supporting the subject matter instead of the funny meme itself.
