“Ahhh gotta love the Right. Elon looks like he's actually about to succeed at the thing we all cheered him for a week ago and half this thread is turning on him and calling him part of the enemy for actually not being stopped by said enemy. No wonder the Right can never manage to actually take any real ground or deal any real blows to the enemy. Even actually trying is considered evidence of being a turncoat.”

He's behind the Neural Link, and has talked about using it to control behavior (make people less fat). He has pump and dumped crypto.
Supposedly entirely voluntary though, just to be clear.
However we know how that goes.
Just like it's "voluntary" to take the death shot in most western nations.
voluntary, but once you have the ability, and people hooked up to the system, who knows. A little manipulation isn't very noticeable, but if you keep doing it constantly, it adds up.
Crypto is unfit for purpose. I disagree with pump-and-dump tactics, but we shouldn't pretend that crypto's gatekeeping - which is designed only to protect against attackers who have a first order economic motivation - secures it against ideologically motivated attackers. If you let China handle your transaction approvals because you think China isn't willing to burn that investment to suppress economic activity they don't like, you're a fool.
