It's impossible to tell a good story without appealing somewhat to reactionaries. A good story is relatable and based in reality, while progressivism is alienating and abhors reality.
Yes they can. It’s called stop doing period pieces and casting for diversity over reality. 20 years ago no one would mention a movie based on Vikings has an entirely white cast. Because duh their Scandinavians.
They hated King Arthur, Legend of the Sword too. U thought it was great film making and was pleasantly surprised. Guy Ritchie and Charlie Hunnum should make more movies together.
Going to see this tonight, I have low expectations so maybe I will get lucky.
He still made a movie centered around a badass male protag. This is not enough for me to skip the movie. If it is pozzed someone will post here for sure.
True. I’ll see what they say when they see it. Trailer looks great. I just hate when directors say stuff like that. There is a potential of turning off half the audience
I'm interested in seeing this movie because I will literally be a part of history: seeing what will probably be the last all-white casted movie for the rest of time.
I watched this last night. Full of archetypes and very solid attempt to be historically accurate, big nods to Conan and Macbeth. Dark and bloody, doesn't pull punches....I enjoyed it.
If it was woke anywhere I missed it, and I have radar for that.
The fact that this is even a question shows where the rot truly lies.

I highly recommend watching The Lighthouse. I'm still not exactly sure what the message or theme was, but it is a good movie.
That was the appeal for me. Like Rocco, I don't know what the message was, but as a two-hour schitzo-post, it was a blast.
Black code: are black supremacists reading too much into Black Panther?
Wakanda is more real than Black Egyptians
I actually wanted to see it but not sure after seeing what the director said
What did he say?
He was talking about macho stereotypes and worrying it will appeal to the alt-right

Oh, is it? Maybe I'll watch then

Oh, theater was full...
Are white supremacists watching it?
I think GOT would be severely attacked if it came out today.
I agree. I never thought about color watching it. Only ones who did where the insane critics that see nothing but color in every show
Guardian sucks. That director made some dumb comments. The movie looks good. I’ll wait to hear some opinions
