More and more non-chain restaurants have started using Sysco. Since 2020 there's been multiple restaurants that I've never returned to because of it. I don't even understand how it works, do people not realize they are getting served the exact same cafeteria food everywhere?
Seasoning does a LOT. Also, how are people supposed to tell, how would they know, because seasoning alters taste, so the meat’s gonna be a bit different every time.
Not sure how inflation will let them get away with paying their employees less. At some point people will figure out that they get paid more not to work than they get at a low wage job. It was bad enough with covid, and inflation will make this issue worse.
Because the only companies that can deal with ballooning costs are big corporations. They can weather the storm while small businesses go bankrupt or get swallowed up.
Lower competition in restaurants means excess restaurant workers means you don't have to pay them so much since there's always someone to take the job.

I would think they'd notice something like the garlic knots at every Italian restaurant being the exact same. Or those lava cakes that are everywhere.
Saying the quiet part out loud. That's all inflation ever is, and when it's combined with negative real interest rates it's even more evil.
The young will never know that you used to be able to make your money worth more money by putting it in a FDIC insured savings account.
