then when the infrastructure was cleared by force and by planted evidence, they switched to the fact that the Ottawa peaceful convoy protest was an "occupation" and it was immoral to park illegally and make noise and annoy local residents and "force" businesses to shut down
then after the Ottawa protest was unconstitutionally and forcefully removed with police brutality, now the City of Calgary wants police to unlawfully, unconstitutionally and violently prevent thousands of Calgary citizens from marching and protesting on Saturdays FOR ONE FUCKING HOUR because local residents and businesses don't like it.
The mayor of Calgary is a stupid regressive whore, this entire response is reactionary, hyperbolic nonsense. City council is just asking for the police to keep them constantly informed of the situation, not to go out there and "crack some skulls" holy fuck the right can be just as full of shit as the left.
Anyone who paid attention to the Ottawa convoy protest knows that this is the exact same tactics and rhetoric the Ottawa City Council used to force their police forces hand to start using violence against peaceful citizens that had no issue with the municipality itself, only a beef with another authoritarian and discriminatory level of government.
Only this time, there's even less of a grey area in terms of legality and constitutional protects from the protest.

The Calgary marches are an hour or so every Saturday.
