If it follows the Texas pattern they will force their masks anyway. That's what some counties and a ton of schools did here. Still I'll take it over the alternative.
Texas also tried to ban masks in the legislature, but it never got very far there wasn't enough willing to support it.
The province is moving to ban municipal ability to bylaw it back in. Edmonton just went "fine, we have our own municipal mask laws, screw the province", and Alberta said (and I quote) "we need to follow medical science, not political science", and then told them to fuck right off with their mask mandate. Going to court next week over it, they are.
It's certainly worth a shot for Canada.
