I saw someone watching this show, and it actually looks fairly interesting. I feel like though almost everytime I start a show these days it has some PC/diversity garbage that makes me disinterested. Before I start and potentially waste time, does it have any SJW themes in it?

It showed promise in the first season if a bit underwhelming and then completely lost the plot. Yes it absolutely is. Disgusting historical revisionism that seems like it nails all the good 80s nostalgia feels at first and then you realize how insidious the changes are esp if you were actually a kid at that time. David Harbour is an insane brainwashed golem and Winona Ryder has a clear drug problem. Avoid. All the child actors are likely blown out sex slaves especially Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown.
Don't lend Epstein-tier psychopaths your eyeballs or attention unless you're plotting their ruin.
First season, not really woke. It's not bad. I feel like a lot of the 80's stuff it does is very much like someone who didn't live then read a book about it and then put in a bunch of references based on that. I'm sure if I were to re-watch and really try to pay attention I could find some revisionist stuff. After the first season, don't bother. Not only does the show just become less enjoyable I started to notice a lot more direct woke. If I remember right one of the kids is a lesbo for example.
Honestly, I wouldn't bother and if you do just watch the first season and quit. It's self contained enough of a story to end there.
And they make it seem like her and that guy had chemistry only to “subvert expectations” and have her be a lesbian
That was very retarded. She even basically says she likes him a few episodes prior and then "akchtually I meant I wanted to be like you because this bitch I like liked you" so cringe
The original plan was for them to be together I heard but of course in the times we live let’s shoehorn in “representation”
Yeah it's very obvious they changed their mind halfway through
That was absurd when I saw it. It felt like it was a last minute change because of the woke gestspo!
Yea and it worked since they got a ton of rave reviews from critics
Everything on Netflix is woke.
first season is decent, second season is retarded, third season is retardeder and pushes woke agenda hard
so one and done is the way to go
Woke or not, it's fucking boring.
First season = tolerable
Second season = barely tolerable
Third season = woke as fuck
Last episode which concludes a romances feels like it was reshot for woke points. If you watch it you will see it right away.
It's funny for all the woke that went into it the second and third seasons they completely erased the one character who might have been gay as being gay. He was just neutered the last season when he even had anything to do. Probably because he's white and they had to focus on white feminism instead.
I’ve never been bothered to watch it because I figured it was just woke trash. Based on other comments, perhaps I should check out (the first) season.
I would just watch the first season cause it all goes downhill in season 2
First season was good. Second not as great. Third season made me not want to watch anymore. Clearly they will push the guys aside and a new character that was introduced seemed to have chemistry with a guy only to subvert expectations and say she is a lesbian because adding lgbt characters for no reason is all the rage.
First season was good and told a whole story. I didn't care to watch any more. It was ridiculous to think that these same kids would continue to get into adventures.
I’m not a fan of giving money to anything involving Millie Blobby Turd, let alone the thing that made her career, but yeah, I suppose if you watch only the first season, before they gave her character waaaaayyy too much screen time, among many other issues, then it’s… Passable.
Or if you forget who she is, intentionally, while you watch it perhaps, lol…
