Living in a laid-back small town is usually chill. People know eachother or know your relatives.
Someone I just met on the street wanted to small-talk and causally asked if "for sure you got your 3 shots?", then berated and lectured me for not getting vaccinated.
With ridiculous lies such as it being a near-certainty if I don't die, will be a burden for everyone around me and the overworked healthcare workers, his grandkids who got it would have been hospitalized for sure without a jab, the whole bullshit.

I’m with you. I’m in the states, and I could go to Walmart and not wear a mask but I still choose to go to the family owned cardinal store (literally 3 generations still work). It’s in a college town so they are mask nazis but I’d rather support them then Wally World.
Plus it’s the only place I can get meat, eggs, milk, bread and veggies that all come from the county.
I don’t wear a mask anywhere else.

Stopping traffic, banning people from gathering, etc. is not the act of a government that thinks it's a "nothingburger." Claiming that it's actually a protest over road conditions and then writing tons of articles about it is not the act of a media that thinks it's a "nothingburger." Countless social media posts/tweets/etc. calling this the "next Jan 6" and saying that the truckers are fascists, racists, etc. is not the act of regressive shills who think it's a "nothingburger."
I'm witnessing a lot of talk about how it's fascist, racist, the convoy is full of Karens, etc and contradictory "it's a nothingburger" and "oy vey it's an insurrection" talk so I'm inclined to believe that they are probably doing the right thing and their cause is just
The ones saying that were given free ammo by the wildly overblown claims as to the size of the convoys. Lefty Canadian forums right now are full of smug vaxists gloating about how it's nowhere near 50 000 trucks. They're right: It's not. It's still the biggest protest in Canadian history, but whoever started spreading that number around wasn't doing the truckers any PR favours.
