Something like that could work, although I'd replace it with a comment karma threshold because that's somewhat harder to do, but either way, I don't think there's an automod available here like there is on reddit, and without that, it doesn't really matter because the spam is still going to keep shitting up the frontpage until Domitius gets to it, and we can't expect him to be here 24/7. Yes, this is long overdue. We don't need to appease Spez and his troon harem anymore. The only rules that should be in place are ones needed to keep the TheDonald people out of legal trouble.

The rules are ridiculous. I see Dom is doing 0-day nukes for spammers, which is the right thing, so why do we have all this crap?
Most of them fall under buckets of illegal (already covered by ToS), spam, or anti-botting measures.
Of the remaining, Rule 16 is used to delete too much content. But although I get that this isn't a free speech forum, a lot of it falls under anti-brigading measures already being utilized so we could have some leniency here.
IMO rule 14 should be based on account age and karma. Keep it at 1 or 2 a day until say 1000 karma and 3-6 months of account age, then go up to 5. There's no reason to be too restrictive on people who have proven that they can be trusted not to shit the place up. I don't know how feasible that is without automod though.
adding on that many rules is a slippery slope... the 'best govt' is a minimal one, and all that.

This site isn't really active enough to browse on anything except new, so downvoting doesn't do much. The problem is that Dom only has so much time to devote to being a janny, and most of that has to be spent on the Faggit sub where it's in constant danger of being nuked. As I posted in response the to the OP restricting the faggot to one account and enforcing rule 14 as is would be a massive improvement, since it's clearly the same retard on multiple alts evading that rule.
