The US is keeping Mexico under permanent bankruptcy. They keep exploiting Mexican rich resources while using immigrants to lower wages for Americans.

When you export misery you will soon start to import it too.

The only thing keeping Mexico under permanent bankruptcy is the fact that their people have created the only kleptocracy in North America.

A nation is the people. Mexico is dysfunctional because Mexicans are dysfunctional.

LOL at the only kleptocracy in NA. I'm pretty sure all countries in NA collect taxes...

I don't necessarily disagree with the whole idea. But, we can't ignore that Mexico, as a country, has basically been in a constant state of turmoil since Santa Anna died. Part of this is related to the fact that a lot of the Mexicans support the cartels and drug lords as folk heroes. Not to mention that Mexico has had it's own strand of revolutionary Leftism for quite a long time.

The US is certainly going to keep Mexico effectively vassalized by debt, but it's not like the Mexicans couldn't improve their lot.

Hell, Panama was effectively a US colony, but they are not a shithole because they squared themselves away.

Everything the US touches turns in to shit from EU (American idea) to Colombia.

I was never a big fan of superpowers that do not make their people super happy but now that China is replacing the US on the global stage we should see. The first indicators from the road & belt initiative are shit tho.

It's not an American idea, it's a Fabian Socialist idea. That's why America is being intentionally broken in order to support Chinese expansion. The Fabian Socialists have been investing in China in order to raise it into being the next grand socialist experiment.

China is, in reality, an actual paper tiger, due to severe economic mismanagement.

The US is only being superseded because it's being attacked.

Central and south America were violent as fuck long before Europe ever got around to them.

I’m convinced Trump would have worked out something with Mexico’s silver resources

Not really, the usual US foreign policy is to keep everyone subservient through poverty in Latin America / Asia and neoliberal shenanigans in Europe.

It is a normal political philosophy game where you keep the leaders on a tight leash and they keep their nations under serfdom. Trump was business as usual.
