She thinks that I still care about the 50-star flag, and one is obviously free to burn it as they wish. I don't care if it is burned anymore. We are no longer a united republic (haven't been for a long, long time). We are a country strangled by an international cabal along with criminals in D.C.

Agreed. 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th amendments along with the Federal Reserve and the U.S. participation in the Great War caused things to become really, really bad. There are no great options right now for resolving any of this.

I will salute the 50 star flag of 20 years ago, but I will gladly burn it today. Bush and Obama put way too much power in the hands of the feds, and Trump did nothing to stop it. If a bunch of dependents in NY and LA get to decide life for the rest of us, then succession is the only option. I just pray they will let us go without civil war.
They had a moral leg to stand on back then with slavery. My hope is without such a moral leg they won't be able to garner enough support.
Indeed, slavery was an excuse the north threw out to keep Europe from intervening and continue support among northern citizens, as well as inspire the northern soldiers while their generals used Zap Brannigan tactics to got them killed. That excuse very likely won them the war, among other things.
