As my dad says “who is clamoring for this”. I used to think my dad was overreacting when he stopped watching any show with gay characters. Like me, my parents mostly watch older stuff.

I thought Buzz Lightyear was supposed to be a cartoon character in the Toy Story universe, but apparently he’s based on a regular astronaut?
Yeah, the whole "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon from the early 2000s was clearly meant to be a tv show in the Toy Story universe. Also, if Buzz Lightyear is real, what about Emperor Zurg? Is he real too?
I just don't see the point of this movie, to be honest. If you want more Buzz Lightyear, I remember the show being reasonably good, and it's probably on Disney Plus.
And why is everything else in the toy story universe base on movie year release tech?
Actually, it might not be. I remember the suits took issue with the show for some reason or other and have gone out of their way to bury it.
It's a shame too, because it was a lot of fun.
My bet: a black female character who's a lesbian with the name of some glorified data entry clerk "who actually ran all of NASA on her own while old white cis men were bumbling about and taking all the glory from women who did all the work".

I also know a lot of people skipping out since it’s Chris Evans playing as Buzz and not Tim Allen.
