It's not just the ultra-rich either. I took my car in for service today and all the counter staff were masked up (unless they were sipping coffee of course). But the manager, in his private office, just had it hanging off his ear (because you have to show you have one, even if you don't wear it).
Same with transportation. If you can afford a car, you can do what you like, otherwise you need masks on the bus.
How about education? If you can afford books and private lessons, your kids can learn in their own home without masks. If not, you need to muffle them so they can go to the school, extra-curriculars, or even just the library.
This is a subtle way to put the underlings in their place and really shows the attitudes of the people making and enforcing these rules.
I have also seen this even in countries that don't give two fucks about Covid.
When I did a Mexico trip with some friends a few months ago, both the really expensive and average-costing restaurants would have their waiters all masked up while the customers would take their masks off once the food was served.
Non-food services like Uber had to wear masks while we just went in maskless.
The only places wear the workers did not wear any masks at all were the dingy mom and pop stores/restaurants, which I can only guess is because they don't have any bureaucratic overhead forcing them to do the stupid security theater.
Given that the masks literally reduce oxygen intake by as much as 20%, we now have a society where the middle and working class people are in a state of constant oxygen deprivation. This impacts concentration, reasoning, memory, etc. It’s forced disadvantage, handed down by the elites, and affecting only the plebs.
And remember, fabric masks are good for you! Don't leave them out, because then they'll get bacteria-infested. Instead, clean them in your washing machine, and rip around the fabrics in the machine so you're breathing in micro (or even macro) fibers every breath.
