Never mind the cancer, he died of Covid.
Are you sure it wasn't from systemic racism?
Those bigoted oncologists always horde all the top-notch chemotherapy drugs for whitey.
Should have been from hanging or bad prison food. But point taken.
We know it wasn't the main cause. We're playing by their playbook.
Was about to post this since the trending article popped up on Twitter. Was going to headline the thread "Inb4 inevitable grave dancing" because we all know that's coming despite the "tolerance" of the "right side of history".
Grave dancing is such a stupid term. If someone was a shit human then no one should pretend they were a saint in death. This is a “morality” argument that has no merit in any rational discourse.
It's also bullshit when assholes die and suddenly you are supposed to forget all their misdeeds and flaws out of "respect".
Death shouldn't magically turn everyone into a martyr.
I think is part of America’s aristocracy addiction. If all of Hollywood died tomorrow there would be mass celebration by the anti-woke, and the cockroaches scrambling to fill positions on the left. Perspective and “tribal” association dictates whether you dance or cry, with an ever widening gap of anyone being purely the former or latter.
I think it was originally based on sympathy for the fact that they were human beings with families who were suffering.
However it's become clear more recently that those people have no such sympathy for us when bad things happen to us, so the mutual truce is now broken.
There used to be a time when good people were universally venerable, today even the most saintly will be nit picked into grave dancing. The moral facade of America was mainly aristocracy abusing the common man, we see this now with the overwhelming majority of journalists, politicians, etc, who will whip you for saying mean things while stealing your money and castrating your kids.
it's only ever applied one way
While this does happen now and again, Peter Schmeichel being an example from UK football where he had an incredibly successful career as the Man U goalkeeper then retired very soon after leaving the club, it's also evident in cases where "only the good die young" because it relates to the concept of "dying the hero or living long enough to become the villain".
Marilyn Monroe will be considered a pin-up beauty for all of time because she died young enough her looks never really faded. Elvis is remembered as the star he's portrayed as most of the time but still had his end of days image marred by his rapid weight gain.
Anyone who lives or does something long enough is likely going to end up being tainted either through their own fault or potential inaction as other peoples' fuckups can still cause a scandal that ruins someone.
He was part of the Bush Jr admin so that's enough for many to break out the dancing and mostly peaceful celebration.
The right side of history is unable to dance on his grave because he died of their new religion, Covid, despite being vaxxmaxxed.
They'll use his corpse to shame all of the heathen untervaxxen for killing such a bold, noble, colored person
This red-pilled a few people I know that were republicans still pushing everyone to be vaxxed. Although I've seen some on the left saying since he wasn't tripled vaxxed...
Unfortunately it's never likely to be enough, or occur before they themselves get vaxxed by which point it might be too late before circumstances catch up to them.
Infinity vaxx or bust! Just hook up a perma IV!
I think there was an episode of Sliders like that where everyone had an IV installed into their arms.
They'll respond to this by saying "yea, that's expected; the vaccine doesn't reduce case counts, it's reduced hospitalizations and deaths."
But when you argue that people being unvaccinated then only pose a risk to themselves, they'll argue that unvaccinated people lead to increased spread because the virus lives longer inside of them and there is more of it, and thus has more time and ability to spread to to others.
But they don't grasp that if that were true, then more vaccinated populations would show fewer cases, because even though each individual person vaxxed or unvaxxed is just as likely to contract it, each vaxxed person is less likely to transmit it.
The argument to be made here isn't that the vaccine is ineffective. The argument to be made here is that unvaccinated people are no more likely to transmit COVID-19 than vaccinated people.
