People need to stop thinking that they can't create new characters, because they can. That is not the point.
The point is usurpation and demoralization. The sooner people recognize this the easier it will be to understand what is actually happening.
Actually I'm pretty sure it's both.
See: every woke character they've tried to make.
They both have to, and want to, butcher existing characters to make their propaganda more palatable.
Of course they can make original characters, but they can never make popular original characters. We've seen their "OC do not steal" and, oddly enough, nobody likes their desperately inoffensive, forced diversity, completely unrelatable idea of a new character.
That's why they have to steal and subvert popular media; everything woke turns to shit.
