The more violent your protest is, the less the police will do about it. Protests with majority white participants will be policed harshly and aggressively, because protests a with majority white participants are non-violent, and thus aggression can be safely used against them.
If you want the police to be less violent toward you, set things on fire and crack people's skulls to earn offical respect from the state.
