How in the world is NPR considered neutral? The equivalent of having to pay taxes for CNN.

This childlike stupidity that they are trying to sell is incredible. Democrats have been the party of wall st for decades, but let’s pretend that the majority of billionaires shill for them so they lose money.

Its always fun seeing a lefty scream about taxing the rich and then pointing out all the organizations and politicians gates and bezos donates to all happen to be the same politician and organizations they also support.

The corporations and the wealthy are all for the Democrats. They've supported them with money and virtue signaling while at the same time they've made sure to pay little in taxes.

I know it is bad for the economy but I'm ok with taxing the billionaires like BIll Gates and Jeff Bezos in the ground, as well as Netflix, Google, Facebook and Reddit. Would love to see it but lets face it they will always avoid taxes.

Democrats don’t tax the wealthy, they choose the wealthy. This is how our tax and regulatory system has worked since Wilson.

Cut regulations to the bone, cut taxes, abolish welfare and free gibs. I know this is unpopular with bro-communists but this is how you build wealth. Starting a small business should be easy, should be encouraged, and should never be hampered by government, petty administrators and tax codes.

Allow the poor to whither and die if they are unmotivated and unwilling to work, to take responsibility for their life.

Expunge equality as a core value. It’s grotesque and counter to nature.

Just like everything else, they lack the capacity to see the big picture. As soon as you throw out taxes on corporations and the rich they will just adjust. Perhaps whatever endeavors they are in are no longer worth the trouble so they are just closed down, the evil rich people as they see it take no hit, and all the people that were working in that endeavor do. It's not quite as simple as just taxing the rich.

That's also despite most of these uber rich just benefit from their investments and don't actually have all that much in their personal finances. Then we could talk about how much of the general wealth is in tax-deferred accounts. I could go on and on, it's way more complicated than "tax the rich" but that makes a catchphrase for them to prey on the poor and the stupid.

I would cut taxes and government services heavily. Then start adding regulation in some places while losing it in others. Economic policy would be pro-individual and anti-conglomerate. Where I see the American economy start to break down is when everything became so megacorp controlled. It's even in the mindset, so many people aspire to live in their box in a tower, pay exhorbitant amounts of rent, and bitch about everything. The real escape is in property ownership, skills, and craftsmanship, but that's too much work I guess.

The entire upward transfer of wealth from this “pandemic” was to prepare for this fake “tax hike”. They took from the middle class and gave to the wealth class for the past 20+ months to ensure that the wealth class has more than what they need to cover this proposed tax increase. they’re going to use our money to cover this tax for a couple years and then it will quietly be dropped. it’s all a scam.

I remember that time when Hilary was bashing Trump for not paying income taxes and Trump's response was something like "you were in the senate for 8 years and you didn't push any legislation to close any of the loopholes."

Buffett, who has campaigned for some Democratic candidates, has famously said he should not be paying a lower rate than his secretary.

And yet he doesn't do so on his own accord.

It's easy to say things, isn't it...

This is why I want everything except sales tax eliminated. It's dirt simple and it scales.
