As some in the thread stated, he's a "journalist" and should do some research as per his job. Of course, as they also stated, he's a modern day journalist and can't be bothered to do that.
One mentioned that they did some research after seeing the clip to determine whether it was actually a slur, and concluded it was not, and if they could do it, a journalist should have that same capability.
