I wouldnt be surprised if this was a backdoor deal between google and china. Google is technically viewed as better / more-trustworthy than tencent by most westerners. Despite this, google has been shown to have absolutely 0 scruples and is more than willing to work hand-in-hand with the genocidal regime of China. Luckily for google, most people dont seem to realize this, and thus they dont instantly associate an extremely ruthless entity with them like they do with the case of tencent.

Two things wrong with your premise. The first is that you're claiming the CCP is somehow the "lesser evil". The evils committed by companies you claim as worse are all things the CCP does. They're certainly not any less evil and that leads to my second point. You're still choosing to support evil.
