I know nothing in Aus makes sense right now, but I really don't get why you wouldn't allow people to leave the country (I mean I can in a "we can't let our subjects be exposed to freedom" kind of way but it can't be that bad over there, can it?) Not allowing people to enter the country at least makes sense.

Also

According to the 2016 census, 49% of Australians were born overseas or had at least one parent who was born overseas.

What the fuck, Australlia?

let herd immunity develop

The WHO redefined herd immunity to mean when a certain threshold of the population get the jab. Wikipedia changed their description of herd immunity from a generally understood biological concept to "a theory that some researchers hold". The health minister of Sweden was shamed for attempting it.

The best-case scenario of why everyone collectively lost their mind is that governments and politicians are incompetent. They've simply been reacting to the mass hysteria in the public by trying to pretend they're doing something. We cannot expect consistent logical behavior from them. Meanwhile the authoritarians, big pharma, and the media have taken advantage of the situation and nobody is standing in their way.

Um, the politicians were the ones working lock-step and sync with the hysteria-inducing media in order to illegally enforce lockdowns. It's why people like Whitmer is being sued for the over-extension of her powers; there was nothing "incompetent" about what she did, it was all deliberate. Done with malice.

And just to give you an idea of how much malice, they specifically went after people defying the lockdown to "make examples" of them so others wouldn't defy the lockdown orders: https://wbckfm.com/emails-michigan-ag-nessels-office-corrupt-vindictive-office/

Keep in mind that this is part of the same group who have been working to attack anyone exposing the election fraud: https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/11/huge-exclusive-michigan-ag-dana-nessel-sends-cease-desist-order-journalist-demanding-erase-detroitleaks-video-showing-voter-fraud-training-face-criminal-prosecution/

And the courts are all in on it: https://krdo.com/politics/cnn-us-politics/2021/08/04/lawyers-sanctioned-for-conspiracy-theory-election-fraud-lawsuit/

We could attribute incompetence to their methods if what they were doing wasn't deliberately evil.

You're seriously advocating for a hard lockdown? No. I will never place my faith in the government.

Maybe when our government consisted of men that proved their loyalty and reinforced their devotion to the community daily.

Now? 350 million people, many idiots, voting in fake elections? Never.

What the fuck, Australia?

Immigration from Europe was heavily encouraged until the early 70s.

Are those Australians? Or "Australians?"
