Whatever happens to the Epic Malware store they have coming. Selling out to the CCP and trying to implement exclusivity schemes should be punished and not rewarded, IMO.
Part of the CCP domestic brainwashing is a bunch of pseudospiritual self-help mumbo jumbo that basically boils down to "making Xinnie money is good for your soul".
The opium part is more obvious, feel good addiction that takes over people's lives. Plus in China it could also have connotations of external sabotage because of the opium wars.
Is it though? If you were out punching Antifa, would anything change?
Our problem is that we didn't account for the kind of large scale infiltration feminists (my opinion of who has done it, but yours can vary. What the important part is, is that this is what happened to give whatever group controls the left power) did across all institutions.
No violence, no fitness and no taking away entertainment would have prevented this. Only leadership that took the threat seriously.
I swear, this is because all the people who believed China was going to benefit from Biden bought Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu. They've all been tanked.
Edit : Will this mean Tencent divests from Epic? Oh fuck off...I can just see fucking EA or some other feminist sympathizer organization getting the cash ready.

They're not wrong, but what's the alternative? Take away the circus and the people are going to start putting heads on pikes.
Someone at Tencent must have pissed off someone important in the CCP, and they are being punished for it.
Something they claim to hate but crave more than life itself.
Hopefully it means fewer Chinese players on games like Red Dead Online.

It's a Chinese way of saying the same old boomer bullshit "games are bad because kids just stay at home on their xstations and playboxes."
To be fair the fact that we are too fat, happy, and content with entertainment is a large part of the problem.

I would feel really gratified about my life choices.
Quick, hide the copium and hopium stashes!!!

China still wants to control and damage their adversaries. Doubt they'd give it up.
For a country that doesn't like "spiritual opium," they certainly ship a lot of fentanyl to the west.
Damage adversaries by checks notes making something less terrible than what US-based companies spew out to appease their female masters.
More likely they just use it to extract profits from it.
If they sell it...I can just see the fucking EA, Soyny and Goolag bids coming in.
If you really think Epic is better than EA or Sony you're far more deluded than I previously thought.
Fortnite wrote the fucking curriculum on how to be a huge scam to get kids to steal their parents credit cards and just give them money.
Well, at least it's not fucking EA.
Ariana Grande can fuck off though. Worst update ever.
