I'm sure glad they stopped after enterprise season 4 episode 21.

The show as a whole was kinda weak, even if it was getting better and more put together.

The ending rendition of "Space...the final froniter," from the last episode is pretty poignant, too. It really felt like the end of an era, especially in hindsight.

Yeah, but episode 22 was fucking terrible and I prefer to never think of it ever again.

That was the only good part of the whole episode.

Like seriously, how could you think it was a good idea making the series finale focus on 2 characters from a different show that ended a decade before pretending to be 11 yrs younger while looking 15 yrs older? And on top of that have a popular main character die in a lame way after you tell people in advance the character is going to die?

And then have the final scene with the series' actual cast be "Wow, what an awesome inspiring [unseen] speech you just gave!"

Dislike the show all you want (and while I haven't seen every episode I know much of that is valid) but the cast who worked their butts off for 5 yrs deserved a proper send-off.

Don't get me wrong, I think that it was a terrible episode, and the cast definitely deserved better. It's a shame that Enterprise was cancelled, when it hit its stride. Enterprise wasn't the best Star Trek show, but I enjoy all pre-Discovery Star Trek.

enterprise season 4 episode 21.

Baby in spaaace!

E22 was something special to be fair.

In 2013, eight years after the airing of this episode, Brannon Braga apologized to the entire cast of Enterprise for it and said he thought Rick Berman and himself made a "narcissistic move" in trying to make the episode a "valentine" to Star Trek. He also called it "a crappy episode." (ENT Season 2 Blu-ray "In Conversation: The First Crew" special feature)

Also,

One year later, Braga dined even further on ashes, when he stated at the 2014 VegasCon, "The final episode of Enterprise was an idiotic move on my part. I thought it would be cool to do a valentine to all of Star Trek. To me there was something really post-modern about the idea of saying this was an episode of Next Generation you have never seen – where they go on the holodeck with their heroes aboard Enterprise. It sounded good in my head – what ended up airing was really bad and not successful completely. It should have been Enterprise's finale – it was a misstep," having added, "The Enterprise actors? They hated it. It was the only time Scott Bakula got pissed off at me."

And,

At the 2016 Star Trek convention in Las Vegas, "These Are the Voyages..." was chosen by the fans as the worst episode from all of Star Trek.

I have serious respect for Berman and Braga for having the humility to admit that they messed up.

The Enterprise was stopped after Star Trek First Contact when they stopped making TNG movies. It's not a show with seasons & episodes, not sure what you're taking about.

The last episode of a Star Trek TV series was Deep Space Nine season 7 episode 26, you silly goof!

I love ds9, even if it's not traditional trek, but it still carries the spirit and had good writing. Voyager was... Mediocre overall.

I refuse to watch std or the Picard show. They're both just... Bad.

The new st movies were also bad, though they had moments of being good (though still not star trek movies, more of a generic scifi movie).

He was an insane communist and he'd still be wailing about what they did to his boy.

I always get more reminders of how grateful I am for never getting invested in any major western media franchise. Dodged a veritable hail of bullets.

And he was black, which means he was seasoned in BBQ sauce before they ate their own.

And that's after they already fired a black writer for not being PC enough in the writers room.
