I don't see a need to acknowledge Halo past 3 / ODST. An argument could be made for Reach being included by those who haven't read the books...
If you REALLY wanted to push it, you could make an argument for Halo 4 being the end-cap (it’s included in the MCC as the end).
Chief and Cortana part ways in a final goodbye and that makes Chief lose a bit of himself while finding some of his humanity in the process.
It’s not a horrible way to end the story (instead of the floating endlessly in space). I can understand if you disagree with me though.
No surprise. Women sense all other females as sexual rivals - including non-existent ones. Its the biggest reason women in media are getting the ugly stick while males in media continue to look fine. Women don`t want to lose to other women (including non-real women), so instead of improving themselves and making themselves more attractive, they uglify the non-real women to lower the dating field to their own level so they can continue to compete.
Yeah I think you hit the core driver of their obsession, but I think it happens on a more instinctual level. The ugly feminist art director just feels a lowkey jealousy/rage when she sees a beautiful character someone on her team designed. Her rage is quenched by uglifying the character - then she rationalizes it by saying "male gaze" or "realistic beauty standards" or something else acceptable today. In the past that kind of behavior would be seen as mental illness or a "why women shouldn't be in charge".
Feminism is nothing but biologically imprinted female nature politicized. All women sense a constant negative feeling for everything they desire yet cannot satisfy on their own (like trying getting a rich men to marry them, and getting angry when they fail). Adding to this problem is the fact that women are natural socialists - instead of supplying the effort to fix (their own) problems on their own they demand and shame this effort from others (other men) in order to fulfill their goals, similar like socialists do regarding the economy - socialists can only thrive with other peoples money, and feminism can only thrive on other mens work.
This also explains why both feminists an socialists always seem to cut down standards and other things to fulfill their agendas instead of improving them. Like rising taxes instead of providing better products that can help "climate change", providing lip service and virtue signal for "social justice" instead of doing the hard work to actually make black neighborhoods a better place, or just uglify fictional females instead of putting effort into rising their own attractiveness.
These people are, in their minds, fundamentally weak. They, in their own stupid thinking, follow the easiest, short-term ways to fulfill their own satisfaction instead of putting the effort into solutions that, while not fulfilling their needs for instant gratification, actually solve problems in the long term for them (and others). Like investing into beneficial stocks instead of hyping the next damn iPhone. Or fucking around with countless men until they hit the wall, cant get a man their unreasonable minds and standards desire, and end up old and alone instead of marrying early the christian way and actively build up a future with a loving male partner. Sure, he isnt a millionaire, he isnt 9/10 or even 10/10 in terms of financial attractiveness, but he is nice, loyal as a dog, and he is there for you whenever you need it. You cant possibly ask for better. But NOOOO, you had to chase the top 95% of men, do you? You HAD to give away your own body and your life like its a piece of trash to jump on every dick you lust about and chase the men who have simply much better options than you, do you? And you didn't even thought about it - you just wanted that dick to hop on a potentially, financially better life - instead of improving and maintaining yourself with hard work for a married live that would have made you happy in the longest of terms. Well, its only a matter of time for your actions to generate consequences. Your looks fade, suddenly even the 3/10 men will find you not attractive. Just like cabbage, women will become ugly and non-attractive with an aging body, and you wont be different. The "wall", like they say it, ist merciless, your time has run out. You had your time to create your comfortable future, but you blew it. You had to be a man-hating feminist, no wonder men kept distance. You had to be a single mother, with the sperm from another men yet the financial responsibilities on (potentially) him, no wonder men kept distance. Suddenly, you want attention from beta males, the males you despised as "not attractive? Its not the "patriarchy", its the consequences of your own decade-long actions. All i can say is fucking accept it and stop ruining the dating market for other folks, its already completely screwed as it is.

Seriously, while there are exceptions, women really really tend to not be able to take criticism well. Self-criticism [which leads to improvement] of deficiencies included.
Ten bucks says it turns out to be Cortana. She cleverly disguised herself by wearing clothes.
It already started in Halo 5 with her Mass Effect: Andromeda-inspired armor. I expected nothing less in Halo Infinite.
Who was that woman who claims to not be herself? It can't actually be her, she's wearing a normal looking uniform!
She's another AI designed to imitate Cortana to access the Halo, so she sort of looks like Cortana, but more covered up.

Ah yes, they gave her the "Approved body type" treatment it seems.
I actually like the design of 'The Weapon' Cortana. Maybe it's just me but it seems like they made her appearance and behavior more youthful to emphasize that she's a new AI. I do think the uniform she's wearing looks a size too big though.
I'm hopeful for this game but I expect it to disappoint since 343i hasn't made a good Halo game yet and oversaw the greatest disappointment in gaming ever with the MCC.
