Not true. The Mali Empire was a real thing. To this day, they practice in the traditional trade of human flesh that once made them prosperous.
Honestly I think a miniseries about the Mali Kingdom would be interesting. But that would require Hollywood to research. Much easier to adapt European folklore and race/gender swap
Could be interesting, if they took the effort to accurately portray it (as least as much as possible). I joke about Mansa Musas Mediterranean "Make It Rain" Bling Tour, but Mali society and system of adjudication are genuinely interesting, since it's one of the few historical African societies that written info survives from. I can't see it being made, though. Pretty sure Mali was collapsed by the time white man showed up, and if you can't make it about evil white, what's even the point?
True. And they can’t show the fact that Arab, African, and Asian civilizations practiced slavery and conquered people and took land like Europeans
Just make an evil slave trader be a HUWYTE MAIL and then have the perfect and no flaws mansa musa fight him to free th slave and build WAKANDA!
#WAKANDAFOREVER
It would be interesting but everything would be anachronistically changed to be a reference today somehow and completely distort the meaning of its original context.
Not only this, but the inferior white people somehow managed to prevent the black nations from reaching their full potential -- in some cases so badly that towns aren't even able to maintain their running water (that was provided by the white people who only had it because they originally stole it from the black people that they enslaved, probably).
Wells are white privilege.

Also Asian. But they don't count, I guess. Or they're white. Or something.
Oh Really.. Last time I checked the work "Slave" originated from the racial word "Slav"
I also don't know any country outside of Eastern Europe that speaks, Polish, Slavic, Check, Romanian, Hungarian..
Lets face it they hate the Anglo, Franco, Germanics, Dutch, Spaniards, Portugese. These white race are the imperialistic ones.
I can hear the seething comments of "we wuz pharaohs" & "this is a hatecrime" from here.
"Pharaohs? Y'all were dickwashers LMAO"
My lawnmower cuts the grass, but it sits there doing nothing without someone to push it.
Outdated farm equipment.
Lol
How stunning and brave
whitey snuck up and stole wakanda while the black man wasn't looking
Took me a while to realize the joke.
The tweet means that blacks are extremely gullible and love wallowing in a victimhood narrative?
Who are you, that do not know your history?
Building a fraction of the US is building every white nation, is it?
This. Especially considering America was a generally middle of the road big but poor nation until all of Europe was on fire, every factory from London to Paris to Dresden to Prague was burnt to the ground, while American factories were churning out six planes per hour per building. Being the only untouched country was a big boon to development.
OMEGALUL
American Indians had wide trade networks, seasonal farming and crop rotation, complex government, animal husbandry, fashion, art and relaxation, spare time....pretty much everything they needed for civilization. What they didn't have was Iron. The South American empires had some pretty advanced metallurgy, including bronzes and advanced alloys. Just no iron.
They also had war, slavery and cannibalism. They were no more "noble" or enlightened than any society.
They definitely had some technology but honestly the things you listed.... were not that far off from stone age as people often act. People often underestimate just how much early people actually could do or had with technology. I mean really a lot of what is listed isn't actually far off, if not the same, as what other civilizations over 4 thousand years ago had and it lots of areas they were behind them, and we are talking just a few hundred years ago for them. In areas that would have had nothing reasonable to do with iron too. That doesn't mean they didn't have some strong advancements of course.... but honestly that is a pretty bland list when you actually compare it to other places in history.
I think when people call them stone age though it does underrepresent their technology. Not because it is an inaccurate statement, but just some of the false connotations people have with stone age = brain dead cave men scared of fire type stuff.
The north American Indians also lacked any viable livestock or beats of burden.
They did have and use dogs as beasts of burden, so that's not too far off.
Yea I've heard that too, but that's not something I would consider as viable. AFAIK they used them to haul some things (like sled dogs do), but they really can't hold a candle to things like horses and oxen.
