Far Cry 6 Narrative Director Confirms Game’s Story Will Be “Political,” But Not “A Simplified, Binary Political Statement” (boundingintocomics.com)

It will literally be a simplified, binary political statement, like every single previous game in the series. You will pick bad guy side or good guy side. Good guy side will be a zionist, communist, multiculturalist hellhole. Bad guy side will probably be the closest rendition to an actual Hitler in franchise history, insofar as “an actual” means “the propaganda spin on.”

I was unironically shocked that 5 was so sympathetic toward Eden's Gate. I mean sure, they were evil, but they were also ultimately right and arguably the lesser of two evils. The fact that a AAA game would play the "Christian doomsday cultists aren't so bad after all" card in Current Year +3 really threw me for a loop.

Still, I have zero hope for 6. Even in just the past three years, the overton window has blasted to the left at the speed of light. America's entire federal government is united in purging the white menace from their country so they can enact the endless present where they're always right. Not only that, they're openly saying it. They're saying things that, had a president in the early 19th century said them about black people, slave owners would have been like "whoa, wait a minute, that's a little unfair".

I hope I'm wrong, but I fully expect u/TallestSkil to be right on the money. Actually, I expect his prediction will fall a little short. Anton Castillo is going to be a Caribbean Trump in what the author believes is a genius reversal of roles. Guaranteed. If he doesn't say "very fine people" or "stolen election" at some point in the game I'll donate 50 dollars to any non-BLM charity of your choice.

It's not binary when you literally say this is the only legitimate opinion ever.

And yet the best routes in Far Cry 4 and 5 had you literally not play the game.

Crab Rangoon, anyone?

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

I stopped after the third entry, can you tell me more? Do you seriously get a special ending for going idle?

Yes.

4, Min walks out and tells you to help yourself to the feast, while "you" assume he's torturing a guy and try to escape. Or don't. Just wait there, he comes back, and allows you to ceremoniously place your mother's ashes.

5, you just don't attempt to arrest the priest. Why would you anyways, unless your an ATF agent who hates people that keep to themselves?

Both of these were literally before the action even starts in their respective games.

That's interesting, thanks.

To be fair, all of the far cry games are political in one way or another. A large facet of the storyline is about the primary antagonist which is a brutal dictator....which is arguably a political statement against dictatorships, and they usually have other various political messages within them too.

I also strongly suspect that it will be a simplified political statement regardless of what their narrative director may claim, because every single previous game was (more-or-less) exactly that.

Hopefully it won't go woke, but this is ubisoft so who knows (but it probably will)

Isn't that what the article is highlighting?

Certainly won't prepay. Wait and see if it's woke then let it go broke. As I see it most vo.panones are filled with sjw, they even killed WOW. It was unstoppable till THEY came and started influencing.

No it will be a very woke political message, we know.

Since it's just a bunch of woke spackling on the already dated Far Cry game engine, get ready to watch your female protagonist repetitively "heal" bullet wounds by jamming a tampon into her arm.

Not “A Simplified, Binary Political Statement”

Let me guess: it's going to be ultra-simplified unary political statement: leftism good, everything else bad.

Not expecting much but I'll give them points if some of the so called revolutionaries overtly have opinions that wouldnt be acceptable to the modern left.
