She was LITERALLY charged with rape, it's mentioned in the article
Davis is charged with unlawful sexual misconduct with a minor, rape and gross sexual imposition, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s office.
They clearly don't have issues with saying the word, it's mentioned again in the article:
A person convicted of rape in the state of Ohio could be sentenced to up to three years in prison, according to Criminal Defense Lawyer.
They even use "RAPE" as one of the tags on the article. So why not say:
33-Year-Old Teacher’s Aide ‘Repeatedly RAPED Her 12-Year-Old Student
Authorities arrested a teacher’s aide in Bloomfield, Ohio, on Wednesday for having allegedly raped a 12-year-old student.
33-year-old Mandy Davis allegedly raped a twelve-year-old who attends Teays Valley West Middle School where she worked as a teacher’s aide between April 26 and May 11.
Wow...those sentencing periods. She could serve as little as one year (and likely only half of that as actual time served).
Seems to me someone like that should spend far more time since she basically just fucked up the kid's development. He's going to have issues the rest of his life.
The 1-5 years charge is the kicker, the main charge is rape which is a (surprisingly-low) three-year minimum, so she's looking at 3-15 years, depending on sentencing for those two crimes and whether the custodial sentence is ordered concurrently or consecutively..

They're spurious arguments at the best of times. "She got wet, your honor, so the defense rests" is no defense against a male rapist raping a female victim, and it is equally as atrocious an argument in F vs M cases. I don't know why it keeps coming up.
Raped*
When the headlines reveal the gender of the rapist.

1-5 years is basically inciting it - she spent more time raping the kid than in prison
Female teachers are the only society condoned rapists

Porn. "its a dream and fun in pornos!"
How pretty she is will directly effect the length if her sentence.
They actually did studies on this for those who aren't aware. This world is very gay.
Chrissy Teigen has entered the chat.
Nice....
What was the sex of the student? Notably absent from the article. My guess was it was a lesbian teacher
I don't think they're allowed to say in order to preserve the privacy of the victim.
Steven Rapeverse come to life.
