I'm glad the organization is dying. Well-deserved.
Hard to think that just a few years ago, they were banning homosexuals. As soon as that was changed, it's as if the floodgates opened and it's all-regressivism, all the time.
And it doesn't matter for the kinds of people that attack them over it. Literally all I did was mention that I had a good time in Boy Scouts as a kid in a livestream chat that was left leaning (Filmcow Videogame Valley stream), and multiple other viewers in chat attacked me, saying I obviously didn't care about the oppression of gay people etc.
But that's not what they're doing. They wanted into other people's fun, but nobody can join theirs. It's the typical self-centered act that they will screech is a stereotype and then prove unequivocally.
Part of the ongoing efforts to destroy the biologically correct nuclear family of mother, father and non-transgendered kids.
I am female myself and lament the escalating trend of "canceling" of strong men. I was widowed in 2016, and when I finally tried dating again it was shocking how many men I met who seemed to be low in testosterone. And lacking in old fashioned manners.
I am in no way saying ALL men are like this. Just that the ones I met (in Austin at the time) seemed like maybe they had eaten too many soy-filled veggie burgers that boosted estrogen levels too high.
it was shocking how many men I met who seemed to be low in testosterone. And lacking in old fashioned manners.
Expect it to get worse, in between the increase of out-of-wedlock births, feminization and demoralization of boys, and complete lack of actual masculine fathers (or even just father figures) in young boys' lives the guys who are "men" on paper are anything but. Ffs I'd say I'm still getting there too and I'm 27. In no good society would I be saying that.
If I have any sons I'll be worried to death how they turn out because the last thing I want is for them to be set-up for failure like I was!
There are literally hundreds of other organizations offering coed scouting programs with all the activities that the activists claim they just want girls to be able to do as well, but they go after Boy Scouts because they want the societal prestige that comes from completing its programs.
Unfortunately with these changes, that prestige is going to disappear. I give it under 2 years before we have an "Eagle Scout" touted on the news agitating racial unrest.
The Boy Scouts of America died years ago. I'm not sure how much I can actually bring myself to care about what the thing inhabiting its corpse is doing.
It's well past time for people to work with their local communities to build a new organization that fills the role Boy Scouts was supposed to. Young men need a place away from women to learn how to be real men.
...technically no, but it might be incredibly awkward if you aren't Mormon.
I'm sure they would love to invite you along as a potential convert, but the program is heavily tied to doctrine as far as I understand, which isn't bad, just way more religious than Boy Scouts ever was. By that, I mean Boy Scouts had a secular aim with a religious flair, and the Mormon program has a religious aim with a secular flair. Self improvement is a major focus. They even have a similar program that teaches self-worth to teenage girls.
I've been out of the church for a while. Also, I'm not sure how formally structured or focused it is. It was new when I left.
Anyways, I'm not trying to discourage you. Mormons are super nice and they teach lots of wholesome things. They get a lot of things right.
I just don't literally believe their claims on the Book of Mormon anymore, which is a huge deal to them.
One other thing. If you want a cheap, good education for your kids, BYU is ~3k a semester as a 4 year university with one of the highest ranked business, accounting, and law schools in the west. They admit non-members and it's free from the leftist bint of pretty much every other college.
The only drawback is no drinking or fornication allowed (to get caught). Lots of families of other religions value that (especially Catholics and Muslims).
There's also BYU-Idaho. My education was based as hell lol. I knocked out the mandatory religion minor studying abroad at their Jerusalem Center. I highly recommend for anybody. It was 8k for that semester. My two year mission abroad was 10k. Invaluable experience.
The funny thing is a lot of the science professors aren't literal believers, although you'll never get them to admit it. It's really not as bad as people think. Only the super soft majors suck, but those suck everywhere; it's just at BYU the zealots are in an organized religion instead of an informal cult (neo-marxism). Pick your poison.
Oh and the nursing program is excellent at both schools.
How did this organization fall? Was it an orchestrated takedown as described in “SJW Always Lie”? I’m unfamiliar with the history of what happened, all of which is very sad to me having grown up in this organization. Has any organization been created to take its place? I know the loss of all the camps and land cannot be replaced though...

I'm of a different view.
I think most likely they are desperate that whatever leftist judge they get spares them from paying off 7,000 rape accusers.
This most likely. Even churches are suing them over that particular scandal.
What happened?

Why did they change that?
It's not even the Boy Scouts anymore. Don't they let girls in now?
A great allegory for the rest of society.
We give everything to women and they turn around and tell us to go fuck ourselves when we want anything.
They’re in the right though. Boys should be in the boy scouts and girls in the girl scouts.
But that's not what they're doing. They wanted into other people's fun, but nobody can join theirs. It's the typical self-centered act that they will screech is a stereotype and then prove unequivocally.
What's yours is our's and what's mine is mine.
The sad thing is, it works for them.
They are women though. You can’t expect them to be self-aware. :)
When girls have their own space it's called "empowerment", but when boys have their own space it's called "DA PATRIARCHY!"
That is intentional.

BRING BACK MANLY MEN! (Soon, please!)

"Please don't bankrupt us"
I would bet money they'd be forced to pay if they don't do exactly what the leftists want.
The lawsuits and fallout from the child molestation cases have caused many branches in Australia to close.
The council tore down the scout hall in a park near me because it has been unoccupied for 15 years and it was starting to fall down by itself.
It's well past time for people to work with their local communities to build a new organization that fills the role Boy Scouts was supposed to. Young men need a place away from women to learn how to be real men.
The Mormons took their ball and went home and started a proprietary program.
Do you have to be Mormon to participate?

This is what I can’t get over. It sucks, too, because I love everything else about them.
That’s good info for BYU; I didn’t know that. I was thinking Hillsdale was the only option left haha.

The pedophile tranny scouts.
You have to really hate your children to send them to the Scouts.
scout masters and people of the peaceful religion, both share the same sexual proclivities so I guess match made in heaven.
Yet another reason not to let women vote.

I was going to comment: get woke, go broke. But they already went broke.
