I think something they sort of touch on and one of my biggest irritants from it all is the total failure to ever learn and adapt. The only acceptable response to a lockdown, mask, or really anything not working was to do it even more.
That doesn't apply just to the government, which I don't think I've trusted since before I was a teenager, but to friends, family, and acquaintances. I know someone who got really sick (older person) and they have pretty much decided they will always wear a mask now forever. The thing is they wore one before, and it didn't work. This is the logic that drives me totally bonkers and it's much too prevalent.
Surprisingly there are a few good subs about Chinese Lung AIDS on peddit: LockdownSkepticism, NoNewNormal, and to some degree CoronavirusCirclejerk and ChurchOfCovid. I'm amazed they haven't been banned yet.
