The GOP is absolutely determined to keep litigating Roe v Wade and that's half the reason politics has been logjammed since Reagan.

There is a cause and effect relationship between between divorce and abortion, or rather between the proclivity of women to indulge in premarital sex.
But we can't easily go back because the immediate consequences of banning abortion are front-loaded while any benefits from changing the risk profile will take years to be realized and will adversely affect an entire generation.
There are really only two ways forward on this issue: either the GOP acknowledging that they lost, or the GOP going full Nazi and using the same family policies the Germans did... which we know they won't do, so the only option is to take the L and move on.

You don't need to ban abortion to reduce single-parent-households.
Just establish financial abortion for men, end no-fault-divorce, alimony and welfare for single mothers. In other words: Stop giving women money for being single mothers.

This was a myth propagated by a social scientist pretending to be an economist. There has never been a correlation between crime and abortion and the spike they claim it was due to was actually when they stopped using lead products.
