It's easier to rewrite history when everything's stored in a single book that everyone reads rather than raiding and editing every bookshelf in the world.

I suggest using this 1828 Webster's dictionary as well. Especially if you want to see which words have more recently been invented or had their definitions changed. For example if you look at quarantine you can see that it was mostly about preventing disease from ships, not individual people.

I have to say, I think this is mostly a nothingburger. There are legitimate times when the left tries to change the meaning of words -- one of the dictionaries did this recently with Vaccine to include whatever gene therapy cocktail you'd call the current "vaccines."

This example is far less insidious imo - even I'm guilty of using the word "quarantine" or "lockdown" to refer to what is going on in places like California... which is still shades less insane than Ontario, parts of Europe, and ANYTHING CHINA DOES.

Still good to stay on top of the changes, however, because the left does try to change the meaning of words to fit their political agenda.

I agree, but it's also important to log the difference between their intent.

Before, it was understood that you quarantine people who are sick to not spread disease. Now people are pretending it's normal to quarantine everyone whether they are sick or not, in order to 'not spread disease'.

You nailed it. They've changed the definition to excuse actions and behaviors that have never taken place before.
