And it's far from just Miami. I lived near Baltimore back in 2001 2002 and HOLYSHIT I got lost one night driving and I owned a pickup truck. I ended up on a Martin Luther king BLVD where black dudes were jumping out from bushes pointing down at the ground with their arm over their heads. I later learned this was supposebly a symbol that they have dope I guess? Anyways k had to stop at a red light and I had my GF with me. A black guy comes up to her door tried to open it and was yelling through the glass and another stepped in front of me and pulled his shirt up to show his gun on his waist. I revved the motor and in a panick hit the gas and the idoot in front of me barely got out the way and I would have ran him over. Mind you this was simply me lost one single night on martim luther king BLVD in downtown Baltimore Haha Also I was in a vehicle and they did this
I used to live in Detroit and have tons of stories like that. I remember hearing from someone about how a cop basically "pulled him over" and they drove out of the neighborhood, told him never to find himself lost in such a neighborhood again.

I got lost on my way to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and yeah, I can vouch that random people in the ghetto will walk up to your car and try the door. Thing is, I don't even think it was hostile. When I was driving through, it was basically a block party atmosphere. Random people trying to open your car doors while it's moving is something that is apparently normal in the ghetto or something.
Frankly, considering how irrelevant traffic rules are in a ghetto, I assume the fact that you stopped at all, regardless of the light, is why they approached your car. There is a 0% chance anyone stops for lights in the ghetto. Frankly, for the whole of Baltimore, I'd say it's a 60% chance at best.
Ya I can tell you there was no block party and the guy 1000% had bad intentions. When he realized the door was locked he slapped the window and called us white trash and we needed to GTFOH
He was probably right about that last part. It was probably his gang's terf, and you didn't have permission to be there. Baltimore is a sun-down town for white people.
Man, i remember getting lost once and turning down one of those and immediately thinking "man, this is a bad idea" Still had a shitty flip phone so GPS wasn't readily available, pulled into the nearest gas station, held the door open for some people and asked how to get to X, dude looked at me like i was crazy and told me to just get on the freeway and go from there. Worked out but it got real rough real fast.
Was the middle of the day though so it wasn't that bad but i still felt people eyeing me but i drive a shitty car.
Same thing happened to a buddy and I. I was ironically going to pickup my coworkers 2 young boys to take them to the skatepark. They ofc didn't have a father figure and were good kids. I built them skateboards with extra parts I had lying around and spent a little on what I didn't have (not much i was broke as shit). Went to pick them up for our weekly skate trip with my buddy driving and dude jumps in front, lifts his shirt to show a gun and yells WRONG NEIGHBORHOOD. I told my buddy to punch it and he did and the guy jumped out of the way. I get what I fucking deserve I guess

Ya and that also is not only in major cities. That's in many small towns that have large black populations
