Are there any story reasons why Raya and that dragon are Asian? Just curious. If you can't just swap the Asian dragon out for a Western one, and swap the kid out with, say, a nordic boy, then fine. Or they wanted to differentiate from How to Train your Dragon, perhaps?
My favorite shows as a kid were diverse of cast and character: Nell Carter was a momma to girls who needed one, I didn't see her race, only who she was and what she went through. Now, that character and the actress would be crucified as a 'house nigger' by these progressive bitches.

It was all well written, difference of thought, opinion, political belief, race, sex, sexual orientation. All of these things were being covered, joked about and discussed with solemnity. I watched the fucking 700 Club and Tammy Fae Bakker the same damn day I watched The Jeffersons and their stereotypes about white people. It was all different and it had the same message, humanity is beautiful and infinite in its diversity, love and hate, but live.
