Can't blame Islam for this one. The Quran says (and multiple sahih hadith support) that if a woman testifies you must have two so that if one errs the other can correct her.
Well, that rule is only to account for errors rather than collusion and lies, but Allah's punishment for false witness is severe and Allah knows best.
The amount of paranoid delusion is just staggering.
This story appears to be about a kid lying to her dad so she didn't get in trouble. And since her dad is a religious fanatic and the lie she told, which was most likely chosen because it was sure to be a good enough excuse for her father, led to her dad overreacting and another religious fanatic acting on the lie the girl's father broadcasted.
I read that as a girl throwing a random guy under the bus to save her own skin, not using Islamic radicals to get rid of someone she didn't like. Am I missing something?
The part about her reason for making up the story is taken from Le Parisien, not the lawyer, it seems.
Are you real? This wasn't about gender. Nor do you have any evidence that she disliked the teacher. It's just typical teenage girl stuff - making stuff up like during the Salem Witch Trials.
But Tony, the Salem Witch trials got other women burned at the stake, which just doesn't fit his incredibly narrow world view of women's sole motivation being the extermination of men.

True, but she did seem to pick the most inflammatory lie she could concoct. If she wasn't trying to get the guy killed she's showing a stunning lack of concern about the consequences of her actions.
My point was that there is no other ideology where being accused of saying something negative about it would have someone go and behead someone over it and the other followers feel that what was done was justified.
