You kinda have to follow F1 to get it. Mercedes was much always silver. I mean they were colloquially known as the "silver arrows." It's like Ferrari being red. That and Lewis Hamilton specifically pushed the "BLM livery" and many other woke things. It's not a reach or random coincidence, it's very intentional.
They went with more black and less silver than previous Mercedes cars, but I don't see anything strange here either.
I have some Mercedes AMG x Puma shoes that are the same colorway as that car. I bought them like a year and half ago. Pretty sure it's normal.

Shadows are also often black, and you seem to be jumping at them.
