Furthermore, other parts of the world seem to still be ramping up. It would be pretty ironic if, after months of "Trump has failed on the virus" talk from Biden and the left, his administration breaks with much of the rest of the world and just ignores it.
He also said he'd follow "the science". If that "changes" then he's allowed to show some flexibility.
I agree that Biden will definitely have to do something to show that he "solved" the problem. Whether that be the 100 day national mask "mandate" or some other initiative I don't know. Blue Society's become hard as diamonds over this mask thing; I don't expect that to go away any time soon. I doubt for example you'll ever be able to fly on a plane without wearing one ever again.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. They set the precedent that they can both shut the economy down and change the "science" on a dime to justify doing so. They aren't going to let such powerful tools rust away in the toolbox.
