Its very very accurate. When arguing with the NPCs, they sprout the same attacks or the same victimhood narratives even when it doesn't make sense. For example when i as a female argue with them, they still try to use the same talking points and arguments that only make any "sense" as if they were arguing with a guy but dont make any sense with me. And when i saw the recent The quarterings video about people attacking the star wars girl for her criticism of she ra's art i noticed a similar thing happening to her too, Its like they are programmed to react or talk in a certain manner without ever thinking about whether it makes any sense.

This is in large part due to the education system. It encourages people to defer to authority and experts and treats their opinion as gospel. No actual problem solving or critical thinking, just memorizing the correct answer and doing call and response.
I agree that our educational system is making things worse but it cannot fundamentally solve the NPC problem. A large percentage of the population are followers who simply lack the ability to think critically. The solution is to guide them into non self destructive paths using the educational system and social conformity. Trying to force them out of NPC-hood is as realistic as achieving equity among all groups.
Humans are a social herdlike creature by nature, this cannot be changed in any meaningful way. At least 50% of the population is going to go along with the rest of the group no matter what, as long as they are relatively safe and comfortable.
The only way to deal with this is to make sure the people at the top are competent, have good intentions for the whole group, and will not exploit this tendency for their own personal gain.
Our society is based on the self serving individual who is supposed to do things for their own sake at the expense of everybody else. This does not work well long term.
Agreed. When those on top are sociopaths it's no wonder society breaks down.
It is also the flaw in democracy. Like you said, when you have 50% of the population simply following the herd what value is there in their input to the system of governance?
Voting itself is a skill that needs critical reasoning and good information. That huge amount of the population does not care, they just want to be told which is the good guy and which is the bad guy.
This is why historically who could vote was restricted to property owners. They had more at stake than somebody who could move away immediately, so it encouraged them to be at least a bit more invested to find out the facts of the matter.
It's also hard to bribe someone who already has everything. But those with nothing, or little to nothing to lose, will fall for all kinds of things, and that's been proven historically time and time again. The problem is, the ones appealing to the poor tend to be the nasty bastards who you do not want in power (this is the entire point behind the fucking Lion King. And the hyaenas aren't "exiles", they ruined their own lands with overbreeding. They were covetous of the better-managed Pridelands, and Scar promised them that. They then flooded in, and caused the same kind of famine that they did in their own territory.)
As far as civilization - or at least Western civilization - goes, it's based on trust. Trust in the people around you, and trust in the people in charge of running things (not just the government, but also the factories, food producers, water works guys, etc). Erode that trust, and things can only lapse back into tribalism .. which probably wouldn't be at all good for that technological web humans now rely upon oh so badly for their survival as individuals, as tech-addicted populations, and perhaps even as a species.
Exactly. It's really simple when you break it down. People who value the truth more so than being a part of a group, will likely not be leftists. People who value being in a group over the truth, will likely end up on the left. This is why they have so many weak people on their side, as the weak will usually pick the group over the truth, as they have no conviction; they will always take the safer path.
Frankly I think it’s closer to 90%. And yeah, these people just don’t have the mental capacity for independent thought. Their brain just doesn’t have the capacity to learn how to think independently.
This might be my biggest grievance with the education system, even moreso than the political propaganda.
I feel like I got cheated.
It was mostly adapted from the Prussian Education System which was designed to create good soldiers. However with lots of modification and subversion it's been used to create corporate drones.
It's basically just a prison for children to ensure that only the most subservient ones get good managerial positions.
That explains a lot of the team leads I've had over the years.
Very, VERY glad I was homeschooled.
They like programmed sheep that's why they don't like people getting homeschooled.
That reminds me about how if you know people in the medical or science community , you'd realize there are a lot of things that they know about when it comes to certain controversial things but they do not dare to say it out loud due to the political climate. And certain things get pushed to the forefront due to political reasons, without due consideration for all the actual facts, because of that.
It is more fun if you don't directly aggitate NPCs. I like to use progressive rhetoric to attack progressive positions and watch them seize up. Everything is racist!
Breaking the dialogue tree is trivial. Just as them to define "diversity".
So, you found yourself arguing with holes?
It can be frustrating. Even guys are arguing with holes by proxy these days.
Try to argue racial criminal disparities. The dogma of "systemicism" is an impregnatable wall they're incapable of seeing beyond.
Since your sex is actually relevant to your point, I can forgo tits or GTFO.
Honestly OP's NPC meme fits better than the holes thing. It's like arguing with an early 2000s chatbot half the time, complete with gibberish non-sequiturs based on poorly done keyword matches
Sounds like arguing with holes, to me.
the origin of "hole" as an insult is guests/third mics on radio shows who are very boring, it's just coincidental that most of them are women
Just draw yourself two circles and two dots.
Hey you stupid virgin, you're just angry because you'll never get to have sex with a woman and feel the inside of a vagina. Touche.
the funniest thing is that it's almost always actual unfuckable losers using incel as an insult
Projection is their greatest tactic.
More of a metaphor, and yes, it's a very apt one. The lines they repeat over and over again are the memes, in their original sense.
And yeah, you can see it going all the way back to the 1960s. The same lines, the same signs.
It's called "conditioning", and old-school psychologists didn't get money to psych-torture rats and dogs just for to fuck around with rats and dogs, and they couldn't have cared less what the rats and dogs actually thought about anything. Same as the "ones in charge" don't give a rat's ass about what normal people want to see for entertainments, or think about issues like immigration, or what-have-you. They just wanted to know how to make you accept these things with a panting tongue.
Less programming and more human nature to gravitate towards meta tactics out of laziness.
