Because they're not real libertarians. They're only pretending. They defend whatever they already like using bastardized versions of principles they don't understand.
He was right about the problem but wrong about the solution. In my opinion the solution is "the only way out is through" and improving technology to the point where we can start to decentralize civilization again. If we aren't at that point already I expect to be in my lifetime.
Long story short, "researcher" from Mozilla is stating that white supremacists are turning to decentralized platforms and becoming more radicalized. Because these platforms don't discourage the discussion of those ideas.
Funny enough, I know that this was a talking about against censorship is that it only drives those ideas into the dark to become more radicalized instead of "sanitizing" them to the light of free discussion.
My own thoughts on this. First, screw Mozilla that are a husk of their former selves. I would hope that attacking something like this would take away a chunk of their base because of said base's beliefs, but somehow I doubt that.
Secondly, even if "white supremacists" are flocking to these decentralized places. I'd say that's a good thing because it means those places are preserving free speech. And for me personally, I don't care about what type of people go to these "dark" places. I already have to deal enough with the mainstream platforms accepting literally communists. Because that offends me more considering what my family's been through.
Only issue i have with Waterfox is some "secure" websites refuse to recognize it as a real browser. I had to open Chrome to do my taxes this year.
That and for whatever reason I have issues watching live streams on it, they tend to lag and get real choppy. No issues on the same rig in Chrome, but I really don't like using Chrome
Unfortunately Firefox and Chrome are here to stay, along with internet explorer. All the tools I see being developed or have been developed come with this 3 as supported browsers. So at this point, even if individuals would start changing in mass they are going to be kept alive by other corporations.
This unfortunately gives them freedom to do what ever they fucking want in terms of censorship.
They did this to themselves. New things get added to their perception of hate speech every day. Commit whatever they call hate speech, and they decide to offer constructive criticism and respectful discussion to try to get you to see their side? Ha! Not even close! It's just instant smugness and name-calling. You cannot have a discussion with them on anything.
It's a shame Mozilla has gotten so bad after what they started as. I'm just waiting for censored web browsers next.
The author is Emmi Bevensee a MTF self described "anarcho-transhumanist"
Bevensee seemingly only writes about "far-right supremacy" and does writing for the Center for a Stateless Society.
They/Them pronouns, antifascist, anti-free speech.
The type that always pushes this type of shit

When were you when you realized kaczynski was right
I was at home reading article
when suddenly realize
"Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race."
No.

More like MTT or TIM.
There is no such thing as 'MTF'.
I found this because of this article https://reclaimthenet.org/mozilla-turns-its-attention-to-censoring-decentralized-tech/

Firefox has been shit since Eich.
Yeah, they were engaging in cancel culture way before it got popular. It's also why I quit using them, but also sadly been browser hopping ever since.
Anybody still using Firefox I would suggest swapping to Waterfox instead. Most of the same addons work for it.

at least until the money dries up when something else becomes the new hotness

Hate speech is what makes life worth living! Come and take it, faggots!
Daily reminder that ChrLauncher lets you run de-googlefied Chromium without needing to faff about with custom builds.
When I first heard about Brave, I wondered why it had the same dude who made Firefox behind it.
Turns out he got kicked out from his own company because he wasn't woke enough.
They hate anything that they cannot control.
