I voted for Trump and am worried about Biden winning. I know there seems to be a poll for every possible outcome. I have some friends who are convinced of a red wave. I’d love to see a repeat of 84 but I’m not seeing it. Now I’ve heard people say they are voting republican for the first time due to riots/Covid hysteria.
At the end of the day I’ll move on if Biden wins and go to work. I’m sure his supporters will do the same. I mean how silly is it to destroy things when something doesn’t go your way.
The problem is not the election, but the known repercussions from it. With a Biden victory we will be seeing the worst of America, not by the people, but by the abuses of the Constitution. Societal fatigue has been occuring in Americans for decades, with rise of neocons and the uniparty that we saw in the 80s to 2016. Trump managed to revitalize the fatigued masses and bring back hope in having a real America again. That is the reason this is such an embattled time, and why there is no Biden support but anti-trump hate. People in middle America and the hidden conservatives had no faith in battling back against the tyranny of the coastal cities until Trump. The truth is that he filled the void in American politics that was creating despair, apathy, and disillusionment in the American people.
I predict I'm going to drink heavily regardless of the outcome, but for different reasons
I think we're all worried. With the stakes as high as they are, it's hard not to be. Just imagining how great things could be, or how terrible they could get, it's hard not to worry.
One way or another, it'll be a relief when it's over. Two very different kinds of relief, mind you.
Why not, since it seems to work in getting people what they want.
I was being sarcastic but you are right. I can smash windows in the name of “racial justice” and CNN will cheerlead.
South Africa should have taken the Samson option instead of voluntary disarmament.
Not much interesting will happen if Biden wins. Slow decline, status quo.
A Trump win is where the real fun is.
I came out of a meeting that switched from escalations to "we hope Biden wins so that we are not going in to civil war". My team has TDS but not sure if is actual TDS since I pretend to have TDS so that I do not get blacklisted and I do suspect at least one member to be pretending as well. Anyway, this leftists at least did came to the conclusion that it is the left is out for civil war and not the right. Which did give me some hope that the propaganda machine is malfunctioning.
Then you're a fool.
I was being sarcastic. I guess that doesn’t translate well via text.
I'm an eurofag and, honestly, I don't know what to speculate anymore. I mean, the picture we get is so fucking skewed it isn't even funny anymore.
I mean, I just had the pleasure to watch a program that's supposed to kind of educate. And they had this bit about deception and con-men. Kind of interesting really. But for some reason they had to shoehorn in Trump and pretend that he is a con-man too. And he will go to prison if he isn't confirmed tonight.
Just utterly insane. At least the bit about antifa against militias was somewhat neutral.
You can tell it's painful for leftists to stop thinking about politics for even a moment. That's why they try to inject their politics into everything they do. Then they accuse everyone else of doing it. It's pathetic.
Eh, I can get that. It's tempting to talk politics because it's bound to create interesting conversations (well, it used to be). But I understand that not every opportunity is really an opportunity. Sometimes it's better to just shut it up.
Well, maybe I'm just oldschool.
One thing the last 4 years have taught me is that the Left are full of sore losers. They havent even moved on from 2016, Ill doubt theyll move on from this
I was being sarcastic but yes. Throwing temper tantrums is pretty standard for some on the left.
Totally agree. We were moving in a good direction.
My favorite piece of election speculation so far:
