This is a strong and impressive statement from Greenwald, but tactically, it may have been a mistake. If he indeed does have separate contractual rights which he mentions in his Substack piece, he would unquestionably have prevailed in court.

It says something that Greenwald wasn't afraid of glow niggers, but he is reticent to take on journos.

It's easier to take on the glowies themselves than on their mad dogs in the media.

Glowies can't make you an unemployable pariah.

Leftists can do worse.

Without Greenwald, the Intercept is nothing.

It's amazing how the God Emperor brings out the best in people, or exposes them at their worst. For example, this is Glenn Greenwald in 2006:

Whether you're right or not, you can't say that - it will cause trouble.

As opposed to how there's absolutely no trouble going down now? We could do with some trouble that's a lot more overt.

It's quite funny to read the "Muh private corporation" fanbois in the twitter thread ... conveniently missing that from what Greenwald has said, they're also in violation of Greenwald's contract both by refusing to publish and by trying to prevent him from publishing elsewhere once they've refused it...

They turn into an-caps whenever one of their captured corporations are threatened.

That's the thing, though, an-caps value contract law more than standard people, do they not? That's the basis of their system of law ... unless, of course, the person concerned is merely a Twitter hypocrite and simply stanning for "their side"

Holy fucking shit this is so retarded.

Glenn was censored for saying naughty things about "liberal journalists", and a wombyn found it offensive lmfao.

https://archive.vn/tt2LU https://greenwald.substack.com/p/my-resignation-from-the-intercept

The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.

https://archive.vn/kvw4y https://greenwald.substack.com/p/emails-with-intercept-editors-showing

Emails With Intercept Editors Showing Censorship of My Joe Biden Article Given The Intercept's vehement denials, readers are entitled to see for themselves what the truth is: transparency journalism with integrity requires.

Oct. 27 “story memo” from Intercept Editor Peter Maas (emphasis added): Oct. 27, 2020

Overall I think this piece can work best if it is significantly narrowed down to what you first discussed with Betsy — media criticism about liberal journalists not asking Biden the questions he should be asked more forcefully, and why they are failing to do that.

Response of Betsy Reed yesterday

Our intention in sending the memo was for you to revise the story for publication. However, it's clear from your response this morning that you are unwilling to engage in a productive editorial process on this article, as we had hoped.

It would be unfortunate and detrimental to The Intercept for this story to be published elsewhere.

I have to add that your comments about The Intercept and your colleagues are offensive and unacceptable.

Betsy

TFW you sacrifice all of your pretended journalistic integrity for the father of a corrupt, degenerated asshole.

I wonder if these people look into the mirror and tell themselves that they made the world a better place by protecting little hunter.
