They weren't in the military, they were Interior Ministry employees. They threw in just all kind of troops (including private militias of Kadyrov and Prigozhin) already on day 1. For example the mentioned infiltrators in civilian clothes were from the SVR (foreign intelligence service), they were later exchanged for some Azov guys.

Some dude in Sweden embassy was certainly not aware of the plan, just as like all their grunts and even most of officers.

https://thedebrief.org/know-no-mercy-the-russian-cops-who-tried-to-storm-kyiv-by-themselves/ is a good article about this time, and the first days.

Your knowledge of British history and present is as good as if you were an average Russian official. There have been no Anglo-Saxon countries since 1066.

Almost 1,000 years ago already, the Anglo-Saxons have been destroyed (culturally and physically) and replaced as the ruling class by the French Vikings the Normans as well as the Bretons (Welshified French). In effect, the descendants of Anglo-Saxons are a minority even in England, not to mention Wales or Scotland, and in particular only 3 (three) AS aristocratic families survived the Norman Conquest and its genocide-style aftermath without being killed (on the male side, the Normans/Bretons would often marry the women after killing the men) or exiled: Berkeley, Swinton and Arden (perhaps Wentworth too). On the commoner side, most people in England always were and still are (by DNA) just the indigenous (Celtic) Britons, similar as in the rest of the UK (with obviously Northern Ireland as well as Scotland too being also highly Irish sort of insular Celtic, Scotland because of the Scoti invasion and colonization that ended the Picts, then become Germanized in turn by the other Vikings). Which is why we call them British, all of the countries of Great Britain (Northern Ireland too).

Only "Saxons countries" are in Germany today, but there's nothing "Anglo" about them. It's funny because the memetic Dresden is in Saxony, Germany.

Wie ein Junge aus Brooklyn Amerikas Arzt wurde!

(In other news, I just heard on the radio that "the Americans are going back to wearing masks" lmao)

They also habitually call the British "Anglo-Saxons" nowadays. They used to simply call them (all of British nations) "English" and the entire UK "England", but now it's "Anglo-Saxon countries". I'm not sure is this supposed to be an insult or what, it's so weird.

Lol, how?

He could've been maybe useful if America was in Afghanistan to let's say give anti-aircraft missiles to the Taliban (he even used to be based in the UAE, just as their political leadership more recently). But the Americans in the entire last year in Afghanistan just droned Zawahiri in Haqqani's safehouse (Haqq obviously lured him in and ratted him out so Al-Qaeda would become Haqqaeda).

Who else remains now, (H)AQ worldwide generally, or their cells in the West? Surely not the Islamic State? ("An organisation banned in the Russian Federation", as all their media must always note with this exact line whenever they mention it.) There's not even really a serious IRA around, not to mention the likes of the Red Brigades or the Red Army Faction anymore, long completely gone, and Antifa are only basic rioters, and in any such case the West can play this game too and funnel weapons directly to the rebels and terrorists inside Russia through Russia's long borders with the -stans (and better weapons).

Even the FARC that got him busted have meanwhile disarmed themselves. And in revenge for something obviously a state operation and let's say arming the Haitian gang alliance, or the Mexican cannibal cartels, America could very easily just end some Russian shithole country puppet regimes, like the glorious socialist state of Venezuela that's been allowed to exist for so long for no reason while falling apart completely on their own despite the oil riches.

He's a Russian born in Soviet Tajikistan.

The film character has even an entirely different name and never even tried to be a biopic, instead was just inspired by an archetype that Bout personified (it's not like he was the only one) and by some stories about his own exploits.

The dude was the tallest WNBA player ever, this gives him a lot of adventage and he used it to a good effect. It's just that nobody cares about WNBA in general.

It's a little funny because him selling their weapons left and right for so long helped a bit to arrive at this current state of shortages (but not much, he was moving mostly old shit that now would be only even older and very possibly just junk because of their horrible storage habits, such as simply dumping vehicles and munitions around without even a roof above to sit there for years or decades).

What's way more funny is how he used to arm for example the Bosnians despite the Serbs being still convinced that the Russian state apparatus (now bailing him out) was having their back, thinking it's forever 1914.

He worked on this with Osama, among others. Osama was still based in Sudan. It was before they both got involved in Afghanistan.

Immigration to NK isn't actually easy (they don't welcome defectors as they used to) but moving to Somalia is super cheap. You will be then likely speedily kidnapped by bandits or pirates if you're relatively lucky and they'll hold you for a ransom, or by AS (AQ) or IS if you're not and they'll cut off your head in 1080p for me to watch on Telegram.

Your tax dollars have been wasted on disarming the world's third nuclear superpower Ukraine between 1994 and 2002 (nearly 2,000 warheads and hundreds of strategic missiles and bombers), which led to this situation so much more.

He's not my boy, his pacifism was criminal. He has reinvented and partly redeemed himself but this is not enough. He will need to stand the trial for his role during the period of October to February 24 in particular, and the disasters that followed after he had refused to organize the defense when there was a time for that.

Ukraine needs a military leader with political power. Much more traditionalist too. A "Nazi Junta" from Russian fairy tales.

And harder on Russia and communism than General Dudayev who remained a Soviet at heart.

Someone more like Mannerheim. Here on a TIME cover: https://content.time.com/time/magazine/archive/covers/1940/1101400205_400.jpg

In particular, a Mannerheim from these Russian leaflets: https://www.reddit.com/r/PropagandaPosters/comments/1g88x4/executioner_mannerheim_antimannerheim_propaganda/

And this is his best monument, in a way: https://www.raatteenportti.fi/en/winter-war-monument/

A text on the central monument reads, “Although man dies – his memory lives on.”

It's not on an Mannerheim Line, but Ukraine did need their Mannerheim Line in the south and yet there was just nothing there, just border guards in unfortified checkpoints. This makes me angry everytime I think about that. Poroshenko was about to be tried for treason for less.

Well, Biden's been obsessed with ending America's sandbox wars at any and all cost, which he did in Afghanistan in a super crude and just fucking cold blooded way. (Trump couldn't do it like that, just pack up and leave one night without even telling Afghan allies.) In Syria he's leaving the SDF (who have once conquered the capital of the very same "hardline religious order" when working with Trump) to be slaughtered by Turkish drones because he doesn't give a fuck about them and so ironically their only hope is with Russia now, and I don't think the American public cares, nor even knows about it at all. I think it's kinda tragic actually, despite them being a sort of anarcho-communists (of a nationalist kind, with tribal allies).

Who was also democratically deposed (by parliamentary vote), which happened only after he quietly and suddenly stole (more) money and fled straight to Moscow without telling even his supporters and stopping anywhere (he just simply vanished until he resurfaced in Moscow, never to return ever since to this day for even a minute, he's only in Moscow just all the time), and then a new president was speedily elected after weeks of interim parliamentary rule.

Ukraine was a country not listening to America (for their own peril) and not being even really supported by America until 2022 (and especially not until Trump, as Obama had refused to send them any weapons at all and mostly just did weak sanctions that Russians laughed about), which was despite American guarantees of security for them having given up their gigantic (much larger than the Chinese even now) nuclear arsenal of missiles and bombers which were all either destroyed or transfered to Russia in the deal that was orchestrated by America and in large part also financed by America. The American led strategic disarmament of Ukraine began in 1994 and was finished in 2002.

The only coup was Russian first in Crimea when "not" Russian soldiers for some reason all armed with literal machineguns (Russia's new Pechenegs) seized the administration buildings in the raids in a middle of a night, and then in Slovyansk by Strelkov's semi-private party (with normal automatic rifles, and RPGs) and in other places by various other groups of masked men in unmarked uniforms. This was also the beginning of the war. More than 11,000 people then died in it over the next 12 months, and Wróbel was just one of them, like the almost 300 mostly Dutch people onboard MH17 were just a couple hundred of them among the thousands.

That's also the Polish gov (and opposition alike) line, the responsibility is 100% Russian. Just like all the civs killed by their fellow Americans in Pearl Harbor only died because of the Japanese attack.

Also the first Polish citizen who died in this war did in 2014, and he was brutally murdered by a drunken Russian fighter who first beat him in a street of Donetsk, then emptied his entire magazine into his legs (and pavement) and left him for dead. He was scooped to a hospital in Kharkiv, got one of his leg amputated but died 3 days later anyway. His name was Kazimierz Wróbel, he was living there with his local wife.

You can't "trigger an explosion" (nuclear) like that, it's not a cartoon. Are you a literal child?

There was no any "false flag", it was an air defense missile (S-300). Russia hit Russian territory with their own air defense missiles many times while dealing with Ukrainian air raids, it's happening all the time in all modern conflicts. Ukrainians once shot down a Russian passenger plane full of Israelis during their joint training exercise with the Russians in their better times (2001 or so), and much more recently Iran shot down an Ukrainian passenger plane full of Iranians, also by human error. It's been always a huge problem, with some estimates saying that the British anti-aircraft fire could have killed more people than the Germans air raids did (unlikely), and probably all of American civilians who died in the Pearl Harbor attack were killed by the American gunners (very likely as the Japs attacked the military targets only - there was also a lot of American friendly fire on their own planes).
