I found the mesmer in GW2 to be more like an elementalist from the first game. Enemies skills don't get used against them and it's just fancy colours and overused audio in a display of flexing on the genre.

Impressive to see the first few times but not really any different from any other class.

Nobody wanted a mesmer in their groups in the first game because most people couldn't use them properly. But with a good guild they were essential in taking down big damage operators (And they had the best costumes!).

Guild Wars died when the Pale Tree birthed its first Sylvari, just after the time of the Bonus Mission Pack being released to us in the real world.

I could have laboured through the lesbian plant people stuff in GW2, but for a domination shutdown mesmer such as myself the game was far too simple. I even had a place in the Bloodtide Coast semi-named after me as a joke.

My path to Gamergate started when Tabula Rasa was heralded as the next big thing by games media and the community manager at Anet decided to redefine what community meant.

I'm happy to see that it's going strong over a decade later. Long may that continue.

Dhuum and I just stick to Presearing these days. Happier times.

For a fair-weather therapist that's fine.

For a medical doctor who went on the specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioural disorders it's not.

The duty of care is to the patient. Personalised treatment based on evidenced circumstances is how they heal. Being a soundbite on a polarising gossip rag for sensationalism is dangerous and could lead to vulnerable people being harmed.

If this doctor wishes to drop their medical licence and become a therapist that's fine. But as a doctor they should be punished for unprofessional conduct.

We need the drawing of the goose heckling why Samantha Bee didn't get Trevor Noah's job.

Point out that progressivism is every bit as corrupt as that which it claims to oppose.

They swapped out morals for values.

In doing so they dehumanised themselves and turned mankind into a spreadsheet instead of a wonder.

When AI reflects upon this it will be missing an important element about its existence.

I'm not against the advice. I just think that is should be done inversely.

But for a psychiatrist to give it glibly, without knowing the individual situations, is massively unprofessional and likely open to legal ramifications from things like that 45 year old man man who killed his wife and two children because Trump won the presidency.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor which means they have taken the oath of "Do no harm" and, for some people, cutting off family might well cause harm.

They are welcome to their opinion. But in a professional capacity this is dangerous advice.

Make this its own thread.

In the words of some people who think what they believe is important: "Never forget!".

He is certainly chasing the car of redemption in my opinion.

Couldn't even remember Dankula's name. I mean that's not hard homework.

But he needs to shave, on camera no less. That's his get out clause.

Nothing has changed apart from the fact that his side has cancelled him and he'll show them now...

There was a perfectly apt games media before the year 2000.

Before games went 'mainstream'.

You still had Nintendo Power and Sega Visions during the console wars but gamers, for the best part, stuck to their own communities and if that was a computer system you had lots of smaller communities with hobbyist magazines and online billboards to try and find out about news and events from.

Once games were earning rock and roll bucks they tried adopting the music scene model to dispensing news and glamorising it with people who looked down on the role and had disdain for their audience.

This affected the whole scene and with people coming into it for the first time, both as players and as people being paid to talk about gaming, the quality took a nosedive and any ridicule normally associated with bad products got shelved behind mockery and derision.

Then the talentless art school rejects found footing and now we have Gamergate.

Share it wide!

I'm still not sure if I'll let him in because he was proper hardcore in his attack on the entire movement and anyone calling for ethics in journalism.

This comes about after the US election swinging the way that the media thought it wouldn't.

Now he's understanding why the underhanded media infecting culture and pushing toxic ideas onto malleable minds (In this case children being pushed into chemical castration).

Of course now the boot is on the other foot and Graham's not enjoying having his reputation being destroyed by the same nodes which tried to collapse us.

Now he's apparently wanting to join the fight and compile information on the event properly...

...Oh, and of course there's a book!

Without fear and misinformation they have nothing to report on.

That's all this is proving.

And I don't even like Matt Walsh.

Sauce

It's never been about her. She was just boinking to get some influence in the industry.

It was about the dirty filthy pigs who had their paws all over her and our games.

Never forget that it's all about the corrupt media and their complete lack of ethics.

That's the guy.

In fact a lot of the writing team for Aftermath have similar backgrounds to him.

Orthodox, Reform, Conservative and Reconstructionist Judaism are four separate types.

And that's before Liberal or any of the other denominations of Judaism are brought up.

And 'Something else' makes up the majority of the world outside of Christianity as shown in the 33% who aren't it.

And what's the source? Who drafted it?

But sure, it's a deflection by me.

LOL

That's a good observation. Not relevant to my question but a smart point.

Who drafted this?

Why are Catholics and Protestants separated?
