Just decided to Google Robin Wright to see what she looks like these days...

Almost the first time I've seen someone's Wikipedia photo look better than any of her recent photos (Lucie Jones being the other one).

Gah, she looks positively scary now. Which I guess goes with the loony lefty "aesthetic", as you mention...

The democratically-elected councillors made a decision supported by the majority of their constituents, and then were bullied into backflipping by the state government (who were more interested in virtue signalling than caring what constituents think) and by activists from outside the council area...

Much of which was coordinated by an activist media who riled up the response to what should have remained a local issue.

Very "democratic", hey?

Two lesbians holding a "magic baby" and pretending that they "created it together"...

Puke

Though I hope it got the genetic material of the one on the right (the "wife" of the OP, I assume) - I suppose she is the "femme" in this pairing, lol...

Also, I'm going to go into slightly ethically murky territory here, and say that in many cases like that (almost always with college-aged girls)... The girl is often confused, or has simply decided that she "hates men", and isn't really a "true" lesbian. Aaand as a consequence, it just takes a couple of good dickings, and at least one good relationship with a man, for them to, umm, realise that it was largely a "phase". From personal experience, more than once.

It does feel like that, honestly...

Although I guess that is arguably preferable to the Sam Kerr or Taylor Swift content that gets forced down our throats every day, over here...

God am I ever sick of both of those women. For different reasons, but nonetheless.

Well then, that is quite a step up from the average WNBA player. Credit where credit's due - a straight, white girl dating a white dude!

That definitely seems to be the exception (at WNBA level, but still), rather than the norm.

In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control.

  • Theodore Dalrymple

In honour of the shit that happened today, with the Crowther statue down here.

If I wasn't already both righteously angry, and fully blackpilled about this society, I definitely am now.

Yeah, I've realized lately how very, very different my opinions are to those around me who still consume TV news, read the newspaper, or, for the case of millennials and younger, spend their free time streaming...

It's like living in a completely different world.

There was a time when admitting to/endorsing a crime would get you charged, but not anymore:

Nala Mansell is an evil woman. I'll say that much.

I genuinely hope that this "radicalizes" people on the opposite side to see that these monsters cannot be reasoned with. They are a pox, and this is the almost inevitable result of letting them take over. Vile.

The planning tribunal almost immediately turned around and approved the statue's removal and destruction, literally hours after this happened. Just as I predicted...

https://archive.is/EHr9n

There's no way this wasn't planned (and probably paid for) by the Council. They knew exactly what was going to happen. Just saves them needing to publicly announce the demolition ahead of time.

Fuck, I'm actually very angry about this. I hate being powerless to stop this shit, and even more than that, I hate that even my own family supports it (despite my father even knowing some of Crowther's descendants).

Well, Charlottesville, I now understand better how you felt.

Side note, that Insta link is, uhh, surprisingly "NSFW"...

Or rather, let's just say... I wouldn't open it on an office computer with other people standing around, lol.

It's not porn. It's just lots of slo-mo gym bunny shots, lol. I didn't initially notice, when I posted it!

Ha, yeah, I get your point (I think).

I guess my equivalent would be any of these three women's rugby league players:

Teagan Berry (https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4g5zTmyiGl/)

Jasmin Strange

or Taliah Fuimaono, who I think may be one of the hottest female athletes currently playing...

I would link the other two's 'Grams, but my internet doesn't like me attempting to do that, right now, apparently, lol.

Pretty easy Google search though.

But anyway, this is unironically a big part of why I watch NRLW.

Somewhat like the Lingerie League, but more skilled. In fact, some of the older NRLW players used to take part in that, before the NRLW really took off over here.

I remember going to an arthouse cinema in the Mission District of San Francisco (the Roxie, I believe), and being utterly appalled by the state of the subway/metro station we got off at, to go there...

This situation just doesn't exist, for the most part, outside the US. Arthouse cinemas are generally in the inner city, or, if they aren't, they're in "trendy" inner-city neighbourhoods, some of which have only gentrified relatively recently (Haga in Gothenburg, Trojborg in Aarhus, Carlton/Fitzroy in Melbourne), so, while there are definitely plenty of "liberals" around, sipping lattes and such, there definitely isn't the drug-and-crime-riddled situation you see in North America, with such places...

At least not visibly, anyway.

Yeah, that was exactly my point. You just worded it more clearly and specifically, ha.

*Americans. And possibly Brits.

Not a thing here (anymore). Nor in non-Anglo Western Europe, though I guess we can argue that the French would hate it too, though for, ehem, vaguely different reasons (i.e. their hatred of the English language)...

Yeah, I was gonna say - Columbus was unambiguously a bad guy (even if his "discoveries" obviously resulted in current-day North America), but obviously that argument doesn't exactly fly for someone like Washington...

Although personally, I would go as far as to say that we shouldn't be tearing down any of these statues - Columbus, Lee, etc., included...

I mean, Donald Horne, who coined that, meant the phrase to be ironic, and was already lamenting our apathy, and terrible political leadership in the book within which it was written...

Unfortunately, because said phrase and book hit a nerve, the media ever since that time has gone out of its way to misquote and misinterpret it. But yeah, it was always intended to be perjorative...

Not that we aren't lucky, in the sense of abundant natural resources, being surrounded by water, being relatively politically stable, etc., however the apathy you mention was definitely already abundantly apparent by the 60s, when Horne wrote about it...

Their replies to each other read like they're in on the joke, so maybe it really is one freak with a bunch of alts...

Not sure why people keep humouring them by replying, though, tbh.

I don't think so, though I really don't understand why even some people here think she is above-average attractiveness...

Hell, even Angel Reese in that article is more attractive, imho.

Then again, I don't particularly care if the individual in question is white. Though if we are limiting the pool to "white female basketball players", I can think of at least 5 Australian players who are more attractive than Clark, imho...

Oh, gymthot. Even I know of gymthot.

The Paige Spiranac of gymnastics, as it were...

But is the boyfriend black..? Surely that's the question, though I'm sure we already know the answer, lol...

I actually can't believe it has come to this. My ancestors would be appalled.

Honestly, it's shit like this that makes me largely give up on Australia. This was extrajudicial. There's plenty of CCTV in that area, and the police know that these commie vandals regularly target the statue. Yet they did nothing, and nothing will be done in response. And people I know will cheer this on, and gloat about it.

I'm done. I'm so fucking done. We can't vote our way out of this. We can't legislate our way out of it. How the fuck are we legally meant to stop this, when they've captured all our institutions?

Absolutely disgusting. Like toppling a statue of Jefferson or similar in the States.

Evil bastard leftists celebrating and crowing about this:

https://archive.is/jfMGx

The council "condemns" it, but it's exactly what they wanted to happen, anyway.

Now they don't have to do the job themselves.

Of course, it will never be restored. The "job" is done. Just like every time these terrorists get away with it.

I fucking hate this country.

Remember that story? That was Poland, 20 years ago

Eastern Europe isn’t as “based” on this issue as you might think…
